DH is out of town for 24 hrs and LO is sick

This flucking sucks. I have been SO exhausted this week, to the point of feeling like I could have a breakdown if I don't get one solid night sleep......and now I am sure I will be up all.night.long. Not to mention I've already missed work twice in the past week (half days) on top of sneaking out for 2 drs appts..... And now I have no daycare tomorrow

I'm so mad........and while I know this is totally unfair and irrational - I am mad at DH.......he's at the casino tonight for work.....and a conference tomorrow. It's the tenth time he's been gone for work since LO was born..... And while it is work- the casino is a blast. Plis it seems like M never feels well when he has these trips....... I would love a night away to myself, even if it was a business trip. And for more awesomeness - I had a pap today and am having wicked weird cramps tonight...... Good times over here. Good times. I suppose the one and only silver lining - I am 99% sure she has an ear infection.....and she was totally fine until this morning, so at least this may be a quick hitter vs a week long cold that turns into an infection. And sorry about the one huge runon......stupid IPad

Sorry dear! That sounds rough, that would be so hard to have the hubs travelling so much. I hope you are able to get some sleep tonight to take on tomorrow with a renewed energy to tackle the day!!

well we made it. It wasn't pretty but we survived. If I had to guess I probably slept 4 hours broken up.... Miserable But so far I am not feeling as bad as I thought. As soon as the Dr. opens at 9 I will make an appointment and figure out the rest of the day. I am online right now trying to get some work time in so I don't have to take the whole day. UGH.

@mg0202- I actually have Happy Hour plans with a friend tonight. I was thinking I may cancel because of exhaustion but now I think I am going to make myself keep them!!!!!

On the bright side I am watching LO throw stuff on the floor and then try and figure out how to get it since she's still not crawling...... It's really cute watching her

We are back home with a double ear infection UGH.

The good news? DH is home! He came home early - the bad news - he has the audactity to bitch about being tired. I do NOT want to hear a peep.

Sorry about the ears. Hopefully she will get some relief by this weekend.

So for YH. Hells no. I would hand him sick baby and slam out of the house (or into your office to work). He needs to get up with her solo tonight to be able to open his mouth on being tired.

I made him take her for a ride because she is exausted and sleepign really welll in the car, and then took a nap myself. F It. I had to take a half a vacation day from work anyways - I may as well get a nap. woke up having no idea what day it was, why I Was dressed in real clothes and not pajamas, ETC.

I literally feel your pain! DH has been in San Diego on a business trip this week while I have been home with all three kids. A is getting over an ear infection and K is teething. There has been very little sleep. I am exhausted and cranky! Thank goodness he comes back tonight. I miss him!

Honestly, you do deserve a night away! DH sent me on a girls night in December and it meant the world! Plus getting a solid night of sleep was a treat. So my advice is to schedule a night away for yourself.

Hope you get a break soon!

I'm still in shock over how quickly LO got sick - what crazy timing. Last night was literally the second hardest night I have had as a parent. With the hardest being night 1 at home. Ugh ugh ugh! Thank you god that its over

I'm sorry I'm late to reading this. Hope your lo is feeling better now! I totally get you on dh traveling having fun whirl we get stuck with sick kids. After he week I had I got the flu and ou better believe me I stayed in my room all yesterday except for two hours before ds went to bed. No way I was going to be sick when he leaves again especially having Monday to be off with ds. Hope he was home for te weekend to relieve you!

I'm so sorry. Seriously, this happens to me EVERY time DH travels for work. And when he goes back to the U.S. for business he's usually gone for 2 weeks at a time. I'm famous for saying this same thing- "It never fails!"
