Working moms who travel a lot?

Anyone else have a job that requires a lot of traveling? Any travel over a week? I manage a sales force and product mngt team so before LO I used to travel 2/mo if not more domestically and 3-4 trips to china for 14 days. The last time I went to China I was 6mo pregnant. I'm getting pressure that I need to make a trip over there soon but I can't even think of leaving LO for that long wo crying. Anyone else in this same boat? I love my job but I'm a different person now that we have LO

    I do. On average I travel about a week a month but some months there is no travel other months there are several trips.  Our busy season starts in May and will continue until about August.  It sucks but my boss is pretty understanding and tries to keep a fair rotation where I don't go as often.

    I don't but my sister and best friend both do. Is there any way you could bring LO and make arrangements with a daycare or sitter there? My friend did this twice with her LO when she was still nursing and her daughter was under a year old. My sister is on maternity leave but when she travels to Europe her company has given her the information on temp daycare that they use. I know this doesn't work for everyone and every job but it's worth looking into!

    To piggyback off what Cali said, I had to travel to TN so on my way down(from PA) I stopped in OH and left him with the ILs so they got some grandbaby snuggle time and I could have access to call/facetime with him whenever I had a minute.

    I used to travel a lot too. Minimum 1x a month, max 4x. Trips could be anywhere from one day to six. I kind of miss it, but I don't want to be away from my little guy quite yet. I'm hoping to not travel as often as I used to once I do start.

    My boss is very flexible for this, which is nice, but I feel like to do my job well 1x a month would be best. I'm going to keep putting it off for now.

    14 days is a long time! I wish you the best. Maybe you can put it off longer or take your LO with. Hopefully you can make it work. It would really stink to have to change jobs.
