UPDATE- not great bloodwork results

First off, thanks for all over your responses and kind words. I had my third round of bloodwork (won't hear results til next week) and an U/S. The sonographer unfortunately couldn't get the best view of the spine, but said the brain looked ok (knock on wood). They will do another U/S in about 2 weeks and that should be more conclusive. In the meantime I'll just keep playing the waiting game...
