C section mommas

I am 18 weeks post partum now and I have been working out since 6 weeks post partum. The other day I had a good work out and it was a little more intense than the others have been. Two days after working out I still feel sore around where my scar is... Has anyone else experienced some soreness and tenderness this far post partum after working out?

It may just be my muscles starting to build up or something.

  • Sorry I forgot to say I had a c-section but I guess the title says that.

  • DH read that some can take a year to feel completely healed. Mine gets sore just in one spot (where the "hot spot" was afterward) when I workout heavily and during my period... It feels kind of like a pulled/bruised muscle.

  • Yeah that's what it feels like is a bruise. I guess it is major abdominal surgery...
  • My scar area has been feeling weird lately but I haven't been working out.

There's a large patch that's still numb and that's been kind of tingly almost... I'm not sure how to explain it but it feels weird and kind of creepy to touch.

I'm sure it's all part of the healing process.

  • I have an IUD so I don't get my period I'm guessing I overdid it at the gym it's sore when I lift my legs or use that muscle. Thank you all for your responses!
  • It can take a year

  • Mine still hurts even not working out. I guess since in older now it's taking longer to heal

  • I find that if my work out involves my core it takes a few days longer to recover. Even if its a very light work out. The muscles just aren't strong anymore.

  • I still get sore if I overdo it.

  • I just started working out, but have experienced the same thing. I've been doing pilates (prenatal version to ease into it) and have been taking it easy, but still feel extra soreness.

  • I ran on the treadmill yesterday for the first time and had what I thought was a side stitch runners cramp but it lasted until today. I think it's related to my csection but who knows. When driving home from the hospital, everytime we hit a bump I felt my insides jiggle to the point where I had to hold my belly. After the run it felt like an organ had come loose! Lol! I'm sure it's not the case but it was seriously a weird feeling.
  • For some reason I can't edit my post. It wasn't the first time I've run on a treadmill in my life, just since giving birth.
  • I find my scar gets sore when I get my period. It definitely takes longer to recover from exercise as well. My doctor said it's nothing to worry about.

    This is me as well.
