"Baby Bargains" book-HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Hi Mamas,

I just thought i'd pass along a recommendation for a book that was recommended to me not long ago. The book is called "Baby Bargains" and was featured on Oprah. This book has truly been a godsend. Think consumer reports, but only for baby gear. They rate cribs, mattresses, strollers, carseats, bassinets, swings, bouncers, highchairs...you name it. Anything and everything. This has been great as i'm navigating through all of the stuff that the babe will eventually need, especially as a first time mama. The book is on amazon for any of you interested! I used it for my first baby and in fact bought the next years addition even before he came along because it was like my bible. SO helpful, easy to read, unbiased, and straightforward!

I'll second that- I also think it's more helpful than consumer reports because it considers your entire budget and gives you top picks for each price point.

I second your recommendation! We got this recently and it has been a HUGE help!!! Anyone feeling overwhelmed about all the things u may need to buy/register for can benefit from this!!

If you're a true bargain hunter, you can usually find this at thrift stores or at half.com too. Great book!

i used it registering for the first time around..it just helped me create an idea of what I needed etc. I also liked that it gave you their recs for a low, mid, and high priced item in each catergory.

Lucie's List online is also a great registry guide as well

I also recommend Baby 411 which is from the same publisher. It is a great resource for the first year. Whenever I had a question I could usually find a good answer there and it is written by doctors but in a style that is easy to understand and relate to.

I used it with my first. I feel bad bc every time someone asks for a rec on here, I'm like, get the baby bargains book! I'm not blowing them off - it really is just an amazing resource.

I just got this book in the mail and already learned a lot! I now know I need a lightweight stroller (baby jogger city mini or Britax Agile) and I think I want to go with an American made crib. I'm getting excited to start going shopping for all the baby gear!
