Migraine ?

So I don't have migraines but today at work I had bright spots flashing in my right eye followed by a headache, dizziness, and sweating/hot. I went to our school nurse and my temp & blood pressure were normal. She gave me some juice which helped a little with the dizziness. The school wouldn't let me drive home so a staff member brought me home. My vision is back to normal and I have a headache & my sinus' hurt. Does this sound like a migraine? Could it be due to a sinus infection? Also Mira has been nursing less and is starting to self wean so could that be related? Doctors office didn't have any appointments for today and I was going to go to urgent care but the wait was too long and DH had to bring our only car to work. Thanks for any advice.

That doesn't sound like the migraines I get, but there are a lot of different symptoms for migraines. It could be linked to the drop in hormones after breastfeeding. Definitely follow up with your doctor when you can, especially if you don't normally get migraines.

I hope you feel better soon! Have some caffeine - it helps my migraines a lot.

Thanks everyone. I had just pumped at work so I'll be sure to mention that when I see my primary care. My headache didn't start until after I felt really sick. I took some ibuprofen and that seems to have helped. I do think it might be sinus related because my ears feel full and my cheeks hurt.

Thanks. I have an appointment at 3:15 today since I do think I have a sinus infection. I'll definitely mention the weaning/pumping to the Dr. I am less freaked out since I know it could be a migraine.
