  • Congrats and Welcome!!  The shock didn't go away for me until 20 weeks, and I did fertility treatments so we knew there was a chance of multiples!!

  • It's going to be ok!  I was in shock for about a week, now I couldn't imagine it another way (25w along).  You are creating your children's best friend!

  • Congratulations! The shock is just, now starting to wear off. But it does and it will be okay. The ladies on this board have been such great support for the littlest of questions to allowing me space to vent when I'm scared.

  • I was definitely overwhelmed the moment I found out!  As this pregnancy continues, however, I am loving it more and more.  Congratulations and welcome!

  • Thank you all for your support! I'm in panick mode right now bc my dr said that I basically need to be ready for babies to come home at 30 weeks just in case. I'm like "oh crap! We need to get the nursery together!"
  • Congrats!!....I was also beyond shocked but I wouldn't have it any other way now. They are our TWO blessings and we can't wait for them to change our lives forever.
This board is awesome as well as the ladies on it. Don't be afraid to ask questions.

I have been really lucky and have had no problems and am at 32 weeks now, so having them early isn't always the case. (FTM also)

  • Thanks! I'm not gonna lie I am petrified! But hoping the I Initial shock wears off soon and I can enjoy!
  • It will be awhile before the shock wears off, but then it does and the excitement is amazing!! As you have more ultrasounds, it's so much fun seeing them grow together and watching them interact.

  • Congrats and welcome!  I am 19 wks 5 days and am still shocked.  My friends always are making fun of me because because I talk like I am having a singleton instead of twins.  I think my shock will wear off once I deliver.  Take a deep breathe and enjoy!  This board is extremely helpful and full of great information that will help guide you :)
  • Congrats! I am 12wks and 2days and still totally freaked out.  This will be babies 3 and 4 for us so I worry about everything right now.  Hoping that it gets better, I hear that it does.

  • Congrats! You will be ok. It takes a while for the initial shock to wear off. My girls are almost 16 months old now and I still look at them and can't believe I have twins. Stick around here and you will learn a lot. Welcome to the MoM group.

  • Hehe yeah my husband and I just sat down and decided we needed to get ready a bit earlier, not only because of them coming early, but also because of the risk of bed rest :)
  • Shock and fear are normal. I still have those "holy shit!" moments here and there (21 weeks with mo/di boys). I have a 19mo old DD and think I would have been ok with only one child (I'm an only child) but DH wanted one more and I didn't really feel like our family was complete. Now here we are.... :) Mostly I'm exited, but I know we are in for a wild ride!
