This outdoor concert season is almost upon us (who's counting haha!) I was just wondering everyones thoughts on babies, or by then, our 1 year olds and outdoor music!
By the way, Dave Matthews Band Warehouse ticketing starts today

Yes, but bring ear protection of some sort

No, not quite old enough yet/Babies don't belong at concerts
Probably depends on the concert. But I'm not going to judge others if babies are at concerts. I'd play it by ear and decide for us when we're confronted with it.
We will be taking Nancy to her first concert Labor Day weekend. The Irish Fest. My favorite band will be performing! I have ear protection ready for her. If the Fest was sooner we would be taking her too!
For an outdoor concert that's pretty mellow (lawn chairs, softer music, etc.) I would say okay if ear protection would provide sufficient protection. But for indoor concerts or outdoor concerts that are more hardcore, I would say get a babysitter.
There would have to be enough elbow room/space. No clouds of cigarette smoke, crowd surfing, or moshing. Although I bet E could hold her own in the pit. She's a hoss.
Totes. Get muffs and have fun. Once phish announces their tour, we are going to try and bring him to a family friendly show.
Btw, I'm a member of a FB group for parents of "phans" where they make space on the lawn for families and keep that area smoke fee. I wonder if DMB has a similar group?!
We brought B to a ton of shows last summer. There's a family section at our favorite venue and it's set way back so not too loud. I'm getting my DMB ticket picks in today!
@phishgirl29 and @notquitblushing is SPAC family fan friendly? I missed the Dave show at SPAC last year because I was giving birth... Probably the only excuse
I just know that they love selling a million lawn tickets. I always see kids there when I go to shows up that way. Personally I hate the venue but with kids it might be nice.

Yes! I was at DMB like 36 hours before I went into labor and then B saw Dave at Farm Aid in September so it was full circle.
I personally love the family section of the lawn because I like being away from the masses and able to sit down. Plus no smoking! Some of our childless friends hung out with us because they liked the spot too. I can upload pics when I get home.
So excited now! I've been there multiple times and never noticed! Last summer was only the second tour I've missed since 1997. First show was 1995. We actually joked about buying a ticket for my OB so I would not miss SPAC last year. I delivered two weeks early on May 24. There was no making it work Fingers crossed for warehouse requests!
@phishgirl29 the venue has never been a favorite but I've had great times there and the surrounding park. Saw both nights of Phish at SPAC in 2004. Last Phish shows
