Weaning help

I've finally weaned down to just one feed in the morning. This one seems to be the hardest. DS is always grumpy in the morning until he gets his nursing session. I don't feel like I can set him down and make his milk without him going crazy and I also don't feel like he'll drink it in that state. For those of you who've weaned, how did you wean the morning feed?

    No advice yet as I'm still nursing DS 2x/day.  DS starts whining the second I go into his room in the morning.  My plan for the future will be asking DH to get DS up.  While he's changing his diaper & cleaning his face, I'll go get DS's breakfast ready.  Sometimes DH gets DS up in the morning and he doesn't whine the way he does if I go get him.

    Yup I greet him with a sippy full of milk every morning. I also had dh do the morning routine for a week or so at first.
