Hi girls! Sorry, with the holidays and then getting sick and being in l&d, I haven't done a check in. I wanted to see how you are all doing, whether you have an inside baby or out.
1. What is your condition, illness, and/or injury?
2. How many weeks are you? OR How old is LO?
3. How are you feeling?
4. Vents? Updates?
Congratulations to all of you with outside babies and good luck to everyone still waiting :-)

Re: Pre existing condition, illness, or injury check in
1. Interstitial Cystitis (Painful bladder condition)
2.38wk2d
3.Pretty much I'm in pain 24/7 and want to cry. I can barely walk but laying down hurts too. I got the flu and a bladder infection on top of everything last week
So needless to say, its been a rough couple weeks.
4. I will be induced on Monday because of the pain. I really hope to feel some relief after the birth and will be able to take more meds and get back on some I stopped.
2) Baby will be 2 weeks tomorrow (39 weeks GA)
3) Not bad, other than the sleep debt. C/S is healing great. The reflux is SO MUCH BETTER now that I don't have a breech baby's giant head pressed against my diaphragm. Fibro was basically in remission during pregnancy, but coming back now somewhat. Might eventually have to stop BF so I can go back on meds. If I do, then so be it.
4) My husband is an awesome daddy. I just want to say that.
2. How many weeks are you? OR How old is LO? 38wk1d
3. How are you feeling? I can barely turn my neck it's so bad, my GERD is out of control, and I'm having constant ctx for the last couple of days that unfortunately haven't been getting any stronger.
4. Vents? Updates? Dr. Appt on Thursday for BPP & NST. We'll see what's going on then. I know mfm doesn't want me going over 40wks.
@lindsb314 - sending you good thoughts that after you have LO you start feeling better!!
@janew2 - so glad your reflux is better! You give me hope.
Two car accidents resulting in headaches and soft tissue injuries to my neck, shoulders and back.
2. How many weeks are you? OR How old is LO?
Baby Ben is 5 days old!
3. How are you feeling?
Awful doesn't even cut it. I ended up having a scheduled c-section because I was in so much pain and baby wasn't dropping. Now I have the discomfort of the c-section as well as incredible back pain. Headaches are still there but I'm kinda used to those now. I've got some synthetic morphine for the inflamation and Tylenol for the pain.
Unfortunately my GP is on hols this week which is awful timing (but clearly can't be helped!!). I can barely hold my own child evacuee my back is so sore. We're experimenting with different positions for breast feeding to see if we can find anything that doesn't hurt.
4. Vents? Updates?
I have to be quite careful of PPD because my Mom had it and I'm starting to get a wee bit depressed because I can barely hold Ben. It hurts to breath, eat, walk, lie down. Frustrated with pretty much everything life has dealt me lately except my beautiful boy.
Complex partial epilepsy, endo, PCOS, chronic migraines with aura, GERD
2. How many weeks are you? OR How old is LO?
39w4d
3. How are you feeling?
Sore and uncomfortable. It feels like someone kicked me in the vag. I'm more than ready for LO to be here.
4. Vents? Updates?
I'm nervous about getting pitocin. I heard it can cause neonatal seizures.
Partially Complex (my blog)
I looked it up, and I found one study, for which I couldn't track the original journal article, and a bunch of very ideological natural childbirth sites taking the press release as gospel and having panic attacks over it. So, as a statistician, I can neither confirm nor deny, but I am skeptical.
As I see it, if you want to protect your baby's brain, the most important thing to avoid in labor is fetal distress. Take the continuous fetal monitor, and if the doctor doesn't like what it's showing, pay attention and accept intervention fast.
Here's to hoping the next 10 days fly by.
