Waiting for two weeks...

Yesterday my husband and I went for our first ultrasound and there was no heartbeat and the ultrasound tech said it was twins who were only measuring 6 weeks. I should be 9 weeks. We are heartbroken. Now I have to wait two weeks to see if it takes care of itself naturally. I just want to cry today, how long does it take for the emotions to get under control? We told everyone we were pregnant because we were so excited and now I hate the idea of all the sympathetic looks I'm going to get. Also for those who have had natural miscarriages how long did it take?

    Getting your emotions under "control" will be easier once your hormone levels drop severely. My hcg went from 30,000 the day I learned of our mmc at 8w3d. Since you had twins your numbers might be much higher. But elevn days later (after I had passed the baby) it was down to 564 and I found that was also about the time I wasn't crying daily. But remember everyone is different~ don't but a timetable on your grief.

    Learned from my first loss that I'll think I'm doing well then out of no where I would become overwhelmed with sadness again.

    As for nmc, I don't know as I took cytotec four days after learning of our mc to help move things along.

    I don't think there's a timeline that can be quoted - everyone is different.  I found out about my MMC 8 days ago and still haven't passed the baby.  Some days I'm okay and some days I'm an emotional mess.
    Current pregnancy -
    First BFP on 1/4/22.  Due date 9/13/22.

    Four prior losses, no living children - 1 first trimester miscarriage, 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, and one extreme premature live birth daughter who died at 15 days old.

    There really is no timeline. I waited 4 weeks for my body to nmc and it didn't, I had to take misoprostol.

    Thanks everyone, I'm still waiting.  I am going to call her today and see if we can do something to get it started.
