I thought it might be really helpful if we linked to items that worked really well for us. I would LOVE to get ideas from others on great maternity pieces to buy.

It's a black jersey dress by Japanese Weekend. I like it because it fits well (the twisted bodice is nice-looking but not too revealing), is a nice jersey that can be worn to work or at night, and is easy to care for -- machine wash, hang dry, no wrinkles (I washed mine for the first time a couple of days ago). I have a feeling I will be wearing this a lot.

Also, these. I mentioned them in a post yesterday. They are ridiculously expensive but I love them (they are stretchy and comfty!!) and will wear them dozens of times this pregnancy and hopefully in a subsequent pregnancy as well. They are flattering and make me feel cute instead of like a whale.

Only for the second trimester though; I was so bummed when they started to feel too tight on my huge belly in the third trimester. I brought them back out postpartum though and was so happy to have them. And now they are back in action! I wish they came in other colors!

Um. no! There are a shit ton of things that I would need for the baby that $200+ would cover. Plus, maternity wear that I had for my 1st pregnancy already looks like shit on me.

I have this dress and love it! It can be dressed up or down. I wore it for DH'S work Christmas party and Christmas eve. Plus I'll use it for Valentines Day, Easter, and my grandma's funeral which sadly will happen before the end of my pregnancy. Those are the "for sure" times I'll wear it, but it can be casual enough for daily stuff too. It looks really pleaty, but it's not that bad and is super flattering.

Hi, ladies. Thought I would try reviving this thread because more of us will probably have good recommendations for maternity clothes, etc., at this point. I love hearing what others have gotten and loved.

I bought two initially at the very beginning, and just picked up yet another color. The tee is soft, lightweight but not flimsy, and long enough to cover the panels on maternity pants, etc. without riding up. (Note: some reviewers on the website seem to think the lighter colors might be thin. I have it in the bright blue, black, and dark green, so I don't know if this is true.) Since I've been wearing these for a couple of months now I can also attest that they do not shrink, lose their shape, or pill. (But caveat that I air-dry all my knits like this.)

And they're now on sale for $25/each AND buy one get one free!!!

I was lucky enough to get these jeans from a friend that gave me her old matetnity clothes. I love them and wear the heck out of the jeans.

I found some great items at Destination Maternity! They carry A Pea in the Pod for the fashionista mamas but I stayed within the Motherhood brand section to stay within my budget. They were having some deals when I went (clearance rack buy 2 get 1 free, buy 1 get 1 50% off all full panel maternity pants). Here's my one "splurge" item that wasn't on sale (though it appears now they're having a special on denim & tees buy 1 get 1 50% off).

I love the cropped Jessica Simpson jeans from motherhood maternity. I got a pair in olive green & a pair in maroon and they are my favorites. However I'm tall-ish (5'7") so they might fit better on taller legged people? Also I bought some store-brand maternity leggings there the other day too and loveeeeee them. They're also having a BOGO sale on redline items too!
