We use a center. @wasnotwas how do you like Primrose? That was where DD was originally supposed to go, but they wanted us to start her a month before my leave was over. I think we might move her there when she older because the curriculum is better.
I couldn't be happier. It definitely depends on the teacher, but the overall curriculum is awesome. Bradley has Spanish class every Wednesday & Thursday and every other Friday. PlayBall (like a sports thing) comes every Wednesday and works on his coordination and such. He has been singing since 6 months. And he is incredibly intelligent, empathetic, and well-behaved. Tyler is doing well and handles independent play better than I think he would have if he was not at school, but that's less to do with Primrose and more of just a daycare thing.
It's a "center" in so far as it's not in a home but it's not a corporate type place either. The owner/director had an in home daycare and when her families started growing she decided she needed to expand. Now she has a property with two buildings - one with two rooms for infants and toddlers and then in the second building it's pre-school and pre-k. There are two playgrounds - one for the little kids and one for the bigger kids. It's got a good blend of feeling like a home and a center.
