Holy gas/bloat

So I know it's normal to have gas and bloating in early pregnancy but oh man, it's bad.  How early did this start for most and how long does it last? My stomach is pretty distended and sorry tmi but I can't stop farting...non stop! Not complaining because it could be worse but I feel so gross and I'm sure dh would agree!

    I am about a week behind you, but my gas and bloat is insane! I feel queasy until I fart, so I keep farting and DH keeps asking what is wrong. I really hate farting in front of him, but I just can't keep them in. Work is going to be interesting this week...I am going to have get some air freshener for my office.

    I also put on a dress last week and DHs comment was, "wow, you really look pregnant in that!" Of course it is not an actual bump...it is just this stupid bloat. Still, I am happy to have the symptom.

    I had really bad gas from before my first Beta until earlier this week. I couldn't believe it! It was worst when I woke up in the morning - sometimes it woke me up in the middle of the night and I had to walk around until I burped it out (some farting, but for me it's been more burps). My REs office said it was OK to take Gas-X which helped some. Knock on wood that symptom has died down but I'm starting with some mild nausea now. 

    I would suggest checking with your RE's office about the Gas-X!

    My burps lasted my entire pg. All day long burping, it drove me nuts. Farting also, but not as much. You can try gas-x, didnt work for me. Congrats and god bless
    TTC Since 112010 Naturally. Diagnose:PCOS(ME) + Low Motility(HIM). Started IVF+ICSI Cycle 12312. ER 27 & ET 210 two embies transferred. *BFN 1ST IVF CYCLE.* **Getting as healthy as possible and will try IVFICSI#2 again hopefully in April.** -- HAVE FAITH; LET GO & LET GOD --

    It can start pretty early and last till.... awhile :) It seemed to start for me with intestinal cramping/pain/gas and then that toned down a bit but turned into frat house burping all day every day.

    Gas-X is ok to take for the nights that it's really, really painful!

    I've had to pretty consistently throughout my pregnancy and am 31 weeks now...still burping and farting LOL

    I think it's because the digestive system seems to slow down...maybe. I've been drinking probiotics in the morning and that seemed to have helped me. Gas pains are the worst! With DD they disappeared 2nd trimester and reemerged at month 9.

    I'm not super gassy but this bloat is unreal! I actually had to go and buy a couple belly bands and 2 pairs of maternity pants because everything regular is so tight and uncomfortable! It's not comfortable at all, I hope it dissapears somewhat when my bump decides to show up!

    I'm painfully gassy and bloated most nights, and I'm 24 weeks.  And it's been like this since the beginning, bleh!

    Me: 42. DH: 46.

    1st Pregnancy: MC, 11/19/00.

    2nd Pregnancy: DS born 04/10/06.

    3rd Pregnancy: CP, 03/11.

    4th Pregnancy: MMC, D&C 11/30/11, Genetic testing revealed Trisomy 4.

    5th Pregnancy: Ectopic, 2 doses of Methotrexate unsuccessful, surgery 4/10/12, right tube removed.

    Tried Letrozole January 2013-July 2013 (including 2 IUIs), all BFN.  After 2 1/2 years of trying for child #2, decided to "give up" after July cycle, based on AMA.

    August 16, 2013:  BFP our first month of "not trying!"  Still in shock.  Beta #1 (14dpo): 183.  Beta #2 (17dpo):  611.  Ultrasound 8/30/13: baby measured 6 weeks, 1 day, heart rate of 118 bpm! 
    Ultrasound 9/13/13:  8 weeks, heart rate of 176!
    Baby is due 4/26/14

    @lilsip0611 dh was trying to get me to go get new pants last night but I refused lol.  I pulled out my "fat" pants though and hopefully that'll last me for a bit.

    @HeatherHam10, I just couldn't take it! I don't know if the bloating is double because there are two but it is so uncomfortable! I'm in yoga pants within minutes of getting home these days!

    I'm 11 weeks and was buckling over from gas pain today!

    My dh farts so much normally, it's about time I get to give him a little pay back!

    I am having my worst gas now and I'm 27 weeks, though I had it early on too.  Everything must be all squished in there now, so that is not helping.  I turned to my SO last night and said "I would love to go just a day without burping and farting like a trucker!"

    This thread makes me feel better - though it also depresses me because I guess it's likely this is one symptom that won't necessarily go away!  So much pain today.  I shut my office door and burped for an hour and a half straight.  Awesome.  I was a size 6, probably went up to an 8 during IF treatments.  Bought a pair of slacks and a pair of jeans in size 10 a week or two ago.  So today I'm wearing the size 10 slacks which ought to be nice and comfy, and I can't close them, so I tried the rubber-band trick and I actually broke the rubber band.  (Granted, it was old and stiff, but still.)  So...at least I'm not alone, misery loves company :)  Hope y'all are feeling better!

    I haven't had much gas lately actually but yes the bloat is pretttty bad!  I am back up to my fat pants and they are quite snug.
