Eczema - OOoooh boy!

Our 5 month old has eczema.  I just did a little reading up on it but wanted to know what routines such as bathing your LO less or bathing more but with a non soap cleanser and what creams work best to reduce the flare ups for those of you who have children with eczema. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!

Look down the page a bit. I just posted the same thing a few days ago and there are a lot of helpful responses there. I will say though, you just have to keep trying things until you find something that works. We are still trying different moisturizers looking for one that works best for us.

  • Dove soap and eucerin eczema cream. Hypoallergenic or nonfrance wipes works.
  • Both of my sons had eczema early on around two months. I use hydrocortisone cream on flare-ups. I also do a daily regimine of vanicream in the morning and aquaphor at night. I bathe every fifth day with daily wipe-downs in between. I also use aquaphor after baths and the aveeno baby eczema therapy lotion and bath soap.

  • Aveeno Excema cream is awesome!

  • Little man has ezcema on his legs, arms and chin.  I've been doing the hydrocorisone cream when it's bad, aquaphor every night before bed.  This seems to clear it up well.
