Mount Auburn and Beth Israel - any advice?

Hi everyone, This is my first pregnancy and I am 34, I'm about 8 weeks along. Right now my OB is associated with Mount Auburn, I like her but have only seen her for the past year. I'm thinking I may want to switch to BI because of the NICU they have, and mount auburn's lack of one. If you've been to MA or BI could you tell me a little more about the pros and cons of them? Is MA that much more "homier"? Anyone have an OB they like at BI? Thanks

I love Beth Israel my OB is amazing she has helped me through so much and made sure me and my baby were watched very carefully. Pros of beth Israel fabulous nurses, nicu in house, great on call doctors and residents in the OB dept. cons if you want a crunchy granola birth go to mt auburn.
My friend had a horrible experience with mt auburn they thought her child was brain damaged turns out they read the ultrasound wrong she ended up almost aborting and then they tried to cover it up.

I delivered at BI. The nurses made my experience unforgettable. The staff is top notch. If you are looking to labor in a bathtub, not really an option at BI. Laboring in the shower is only possible if you don't need to be on the monitors. This wasn't an issue for me, but I've heard that its a popular thing these days. My OB is with Boston OB/GYN and they deliver at BI. Your Dr may or may not deliver your baby. You could get any one of the on call or staff dr's and they won't necessarily be from your practice. Good luck!
Can't figure out the signature thing, so here's the short, short version.....first daughter born on November 10, 2013. She was conceived through the magic of IVF after 2+ years of TTC.

Thanks everyone. I've decided to go with BI. I've had my first appt and ultrasound today and was very happy with the hospital. I 100% feel I made the right decision! Thanks for the dr. recommendations as well!
