Update about bleeding-and small gestational sac

If you saw my posting from the other day, I had bright red bleeding the other night and I'm 7 weeks along. I had a sonogram today and the the baby's heart rate was till strong at 166 (133 last week) so that was obviously a relief. However, the dr. said the sac looks a little small for the baby. He wants me back next week and says sometimes the sacs need time to catch up. Ugh, another thing to worry about now. :o( Any experiences with this? Thanks!

Update: I asked nurse for the measurements. Baby was 10.7 and the Sac was 13.8. Of course I found a study that says there is a 80% chance of miscarriage when the discrepancy between the 2 is less than 5. Why?! :o(

Our healthy baby girl was born 03/10/15 thanks to daily Lovenox injections and baby aspirin. There are no words for how grateful I am for our rainbow baby. <3

    The strong heart rate seems like a really good sign. I don't personally have any experience with this, but a friend that is now 33 weeks measured small at the beginning. And she's obviously doing good since she's 33 weeks. Hopefully it will all be caught up next appt!

    Me: 42. DH: 46.

    1st Pregnancy: MC, 11/19/00.

    2nd Pregnancy: DS born 04/10/06.

    3rd Pregnancy: CP, 03/11.

    4th Pregnancy: MMC, D&C 11/30/11, Genetic testing revealed Trisomy 4.

    5th Pregnancy: Ectopic, 2 doses of Methotrexate unsuccessful, surgery 4/10/12, right tube removed.

    Tried Letrozole January 2013-July 2013 (including 2 IUIs), all BFN.  After 2 1/2 years of trying for child #2, decided to "give up" after July cycle, based on AMA.

    August 16, 2013:  BFP our first month of "not trying!"  Still in shock.  Beta #1 (14dpo): 183.  Beta #2 (17dpo):  611.  Ultrasound 8/30/13: baby measured 6 weeks, 1 day, heart rate of 118 bpm! 
    Ultrasound 9/13/13:  8 weeks, heart rate of 176!
    Baby is due 4/26/14

    Just sending you warm thoughts. What a great heartbeat. I'm hoping that next week's ultrasound will ease all your concerns.

    So glad everything looks good!  I'm sure the sac will catch up - as long as baby is measuring on track and have a nice strong hb that's what matters most :-)

    FX that the sac catches right up!  Sending hugs, it sucks that there's always something new to worry about...

    a great bit of relief with that amazing HB, FX the sac catches up and you're smooth sailing from here on out *hugs*

    I had a sac measuring a week behind for the first 9 weeks (just in case you are mobile I'm currently 31 weeks now) The sac was consistently measuring a week behind for our first 3 or 4 scans but it grew with the baby at each scan and that what the RE was looking for. Once I was released to OB at 10 weeks it was never mentioned again.

    The heart rate sounds great! and I've got my FX that everything is perfect at your next ultrasound!
