I wish I hadn't...

I wish I hadn't taught Josie to shake her head side-to-side (as if to say "no"). She has no idea what it means yet, but she will do it randomly while she is playing alone...It makes her look like she has a neurological problem. Ugh, I know she doesn't, but it still freaks me out a little.
It is pretty funny when we ask her a yes or no question and she does it :P

Let's hear your "I wish I hadn't"s

  • I wish I hadn't laughed after DS farts. Now if he does he laughs hysterically. Which is still funny but I know it will not/is not appropriate.

I wish I hadn't sold my aspen. I got it when I was first pregnant, and then traded it b/c I was afraid of the payment and a baby. Now I want it back SOO bad.

  • I feel like I may have shared this before (but maybe not), but I wish I hadn't used the word "boner" when explaining to my husband why it was taking me forever to get the diaper closed. Alexander globbed onto it immediately and now when I'm changing him, he grabs himself and yells "Boner!" I honestly don't know how he made the immediate association because it isn't like I pointed it out specifically for him. I think when it comes to boys, knowing that kind of stuff is in their blood.

  • We didn't teach DD to do that, I rarely shake my head no and I really try not to say no to her very often and she went through a phase where practically all she did in terms of communication was shake her head "no"

I almost called the Dr to see if her ears were bothering her but after a couple weeks she stopped
