Mucus plug timing question

Ok, so last time I lost my plug over the course of a few days and contractions started a couple days after that.
Was this your experience? Did you have "real" contractions before (not just BH) and how long did labor take to start once you lost your plug?

  • Don't worry. You won't see me post here anymore.
Honest question hoping for a simple answer.
Waiting for eye rolls and all kinds of mocking but I will just search elsewhere. I know what happens to those that some of you feel don't belong here.
Please just don't teach your children to behave this way.

@ccip82 - Is this the kind of asinine thing you were referencing earlier? ;)

Ugh. Yes. I didn't think I was being that mean either...Why does everyone have to take themselves so. freaking. seriously.

By the way @katstirdivant My DD and DS are so screwed they ended up with a horrible person like me for a mother...Could you please teach my children how to not have a sense of humor?

  • I thought we were past the point of talking about mucus plugs. Haven't we moved onto bigger and better things, like false labor, or pooping during L&D?!

  • It's a similar concept to groundhogs day - did it poke its head out your vag and slither back in before falling out for good? That means at least 2 more weeks of pregnancy. Or did it just plop out all at once excited to exit? That means you'll probably have a baby in the next 48 hrs.

  • Bits of my mucous plug started coming out 4-5 days before but got extreme about the time my actual contractions started.
