Lexapro users

So I just started my Lexipro today. I'm glad to be getting some help, but in also nervous about being on medicine. I'm so worried about something happening to my baby since I am breast feeding. Is anyone else on this drug and breast feeding? From what I have read chances are low that the baby will be affected. Also, I'm SUPER nauseated and dizzy after taking it. Common side effect, but is there any way to help that or does it get better after using for a while? TIA!

I have been on lexapro since the 2nd tri and I was on it another time a few years ago.  Both times the side effects were rough the first few days but got better and were pretty much gone within a week.   If they don't get better relatively quickly I would call the dr again.  They tried me on a different medicine a few years ago before hte lexapro and the side effects didn't go away.  I called and they switched me to lexapro and those went away much faster.

  • I am on Lexapro however I do not bf. I stop taking it when pregnant and go back on after each baby was born. The first few days I would feel dizzy and get headaches. My original Dr said it was how my body was adjusting to the meds. The side effects didn't last long for me. Personally, this drug changed my life. I wish you luck with it.

  • Sorry it posted 3 times. My phone is acting crazy and it won't let me edit.
