Anyone else doing or thinking about amazon mom? It looks like the prices would be worth it but I'm not quit sure how many diapers I'll actually go trough. The pampers swaddlers come out to 17 cents a piece and wipes 2 cents
Love prime and have not used mom yet, but very likely will. Prime is worth it to me.
They are pretty much the same, no?
There was a time when you couldn't have one without the other. There are additional dAily offers for moms, I think. I really haven't used it yet since we've been in 1's for a couple of weeks but are still using our gift stash .
They are pretty much the same although Amazon Mom has the subscribe-and-save feature. If you already have Prime, you have to sign up for Mom separately...it doesn't cost more though. If you sign up for Mom, you automatically get Prime too. Hope that makes sense!
ETA: Prime also has some extra features like video streaming and a free kindle book per month, etc.
You can't beat the convenience of Amazon, but sometimes their diaper and wipes prices are more expensive than in the store.
Like last week CVS had a deal where I ended up getting Pampers Swaddlers for approximately 12 cents per diaper after manufacturers coupons, a CVS coupon and Extra Care Bucks. My mom is often able to find Pampers wipes at Shop Rite in NJ for about 1 penny per wipe after coupons and sales. BRU also had a great one day deal on Pampers wipes a few weeks back where they came out to about that price.
There is a great website called Living Rich With Coupons that aggregates diaper and wipe deals each week so you can compare the prices in stores and online. Click on "Find My Deal" at the top of the page to find the diaper deals.
I've been wondering if its worth the membership as well. My brother shared his prime membership with me so I get the free shipping but that's it. I'm wondering how much more of a savings adding Mom would be... I'm assuming I'd have to get a paid account. Minus the free shipping do you think it's worth it?
Amazon mom was not worth it until now with 2 kids. Plus I signed up when they did a promo of $25 off your 1st box of diapers. With DS I would usually wait for a huge target gift card deal and stack coupons. That was usually cheaper than amazon. But now I can't go out with 2 kids in a shopping cart and stock up on 4 boxes of diapers and wipes when the best deals come around. I would suggest watching sales like a hawk and waiting to sign up for amazon mom when they run a promo.

I think it's worth it for the convenience. We order everything we can from amazon, the prices are comparable if not cheaper (there's still some stuff I'll get at Costco). And when I think of something we need I just pick up my phone and order it online in 2 seconds. You can't beat 2 day shipping! Plus around Christmas time it's so worth it to not have to run around to the stores.
With discounts, my last Pampers swaddlers order was 216 diapers for $37 and 450 wipes for $8.
Re: Amazon mom
I think there's usually a free trial, so check it out.
