Intro- new to this process

Hi! So I think this is where I belong?!? If not let me know. My DH and I have been married going on six years this June. We have been trying to have a baby since 2011. We got pregnant in August of 2011 with a beautiful baby but to this day don't know if it was a boy or girl because we lost it at 21 weeks due to severe bladder obstruction. It was the hardest thing in my life so far. We ended up pregnant again in October 2012 but had a mmc. So we have been trying ever since to get a rainbow baby. Which brings me here. My DH and I are going to our first re consult on Monday and not sure what to expect from this whole process. I am concerned about how much all this will cost (any insights to this would be great) and overall the unknown.
I really hope all of you ladies get your miracles! Shout out to Tuscanbride- recognize your name from the loss board from when I was on there after my loss. Hope you get that rainbow soon!

Ugh, I am so sorry for your losses, that is so heartbreaking. Honestly it's up to you, and how comfortable you feel posting on this board where the kids come up in topics a lot vs. the IF board, where the focus tends to stay on IF and treatments.

This is a smaller board, so we're a tight knit crew- IF board is much bigger, and has a lot more information about a lot of testing/treatments than we do.

So I would think about that for a bit, and then feel free to stick around whichever board you think you will be more comfortable on, because you will be welcomed in either board.

I am so sorry that you find yourself here. I agree with @Mrs Castillo in that discussions of kids and pics of kids are all over this board, so depending on how comfortable you are with that may affect your decision whether to join us.

I hope whatever you decide, that your consult goes well and you are finally able to have your rainbow! Good luck sweetie!

I am sorry to hear about your losses... and agree with Mrs Castillo, you are welcome here, but we all on this board do have children and they are discussed quite often. Wherever you feel comfortable.

Welcome to the board. I hope you get your take home baby soon. I agree with everyone here about the IF board. I will also say that I started on the Trouble Trying to Conceive Board (3T) and there are a lot of ladies there who are just starting the IF process and many have also had losses. In my experience ( I could be wrong here), the IF board has a lot of ladies going through IVF and the 3T board has a lot of ladies just starting the IF process and many are doing medicated cycles and IUI with only a few doing IVF.

But of course you are welcome here too if this is where you would feel most comfortable! Just wanted to fill you in on the other boards because I got so much technical help and knowledge from 3T when it came to navigating infertility myself.
