I am having a Maternal Fetal Medicine checkup today, which is basically a long ultrasound checking growth of the babies and I think my cervix. I am REALLY (really really) hoping they tell me the sexes of the babies, or at least guess. I was under the impression that they have a pretty strict "policy" where they won't look before 18 weeks, but I am hoping that if I get a really nice tech they will humor me. Also, at the last ultrasound I had, the gestation age was being recorded as 5 days ahead of what I am now, so I would be 17w4d.
I am bringing my 3 year old to this one so she can see the babies…I am hoping that sways them ;-).
I'm having a regular appointment today, in an hour. It's been a rough break between appointments ( a bleed a week ago, a fever on Friday and Saturday and then I threw up last night), so we'll see what my doctor has to say about all of that. My a/s isn't until the 31st, so I'm glad I have this regular appointment to get me through the long break without seeing Viviana.
Had my 20 week appt yesterday and today is my anatomy scan! We already found out its a boy but I'm just looking forward to seeing him again! Most likely the last time before we see him in person! Ahh do exciting!
I don't have an appointment today but I got some blood test results back, and I suppose this is where I'll post about it. Apparently my iron levels are very low and I'm very anemic. Starting on extra iron supplements today.
I burst out crying when the doctor told me because I've been so exhausted and weak lately, but thought it was just par for the course. It felt so much better to know that it is something that can be helped.
Im having my monthly checkup today i am hoping for a good appointment and good news since i recently had a leep procedure right before i got pregnant so i will have to have alot more ultrasounds &cervix will def need to be measured frequently! Im praying i find out baby's sex today also.
Today I had a growth ultrasound and cervical measurement with Maternal Fetal Medicine. I need to get these every 2 weeks (so it was not my anatomy scan). The babies were measuring right on track, each weighing about 6 oz and about 17 weeks. My cervix is showing no danger of shortening prematurely. It is incredible everything they can see; I saw heart chambers and brain and kidneys and everything!
The practice is pretty strict about even guessing before 18 weeks; the techs will absolutely not tell you. But I happened to have a doctor come in who was the "softie" of the group, and she gladly told me that I am carrying two healthy and beautiful GIRLS!!! Excited to be Team Pinkx2. My daughter was with me, but she was more interested in the ultrasound gel and the latex glove blown up like a balloon :-).
Just a quick heartbeat check today. And another tomorrow. My doctor isn't even giving me the option to not come in every day. She's also sending me for a second opinion, which they're trying to get scheduled for me as I type this.
My appt went really well. Dr found the heartbeat right away after I pointed to my right side and said that's where baby had been kicking today. It was nice to have validation that I am not making things up and I am actually feeling baby!
I also got the green light to schedule my Florida vacation at 32 weeks in April. I will have to start weekly NSTs as soon as I get back due to my thyroid condition. That should be interesting with a one year old tagging along!
Had the anatomy scan today, from what they could see the baby looks healthy. Right on track for the due date, we go back in two weeks to get a better look at the heart.
Today we had an u/s and check-up. LO is measuring quite small on all indexes and bottom percentile, so we are going to have another u/s in a couple of weeks to take a closer look at her development and growth and make sure she is still growing adequately. Quite unnerving but nothing to be too concerned about at this point...until we know more. All organs checked out and looked functioning. We also had lab work done for the quatro-screening...so we should get more information about our LO soon.
Thanks for sharing all of your updates, ladies, it is easier knowing we aren't going through this time/phase/stage alone.
I had my anatomy scan today! The babies are still boys and baby A weighs 11oz and baby B is 12oz and our perinatiologiat said they both look great They are both head down right now and I am hoping this is a trend haha, baby B likes to flip around though he has been all over the place!
Re: Tuesday Anatomy Scans and Appointments
@SNLT1012, will you be going back today? I've been thinking about you!

@amoot890, thinking of your aunt. I had a retained placenta with my last one. They are serious stuff. Best if luck to her.
Good luck everyone!

ETA: she stated it would be for a second opinion and I'm hoping that's all it is. I really love my doctor and I don't want to not see her.

My OB does a/s at exactly 20 weeks so we go back 3 weeks from today. Not going to find out sex but excited to get some pictures and see our babe!
