Does anyone on this board workout/diet and could use a little motivation? On parenting we have a weekly workout thread to share where your at that week.
I need to start doing this but have been sick since before Christmas. I hope to get rid of this nagging cough/sore throat soon and then I am going to hit our treadmill and weights after DD goes to bed at night.
Are you doing a particular workout/diet?
I take a pump class twice a week, and other than that I just try to go to the gym twice a day. I have cut back on sweets but no real diet. I just need to cut a few pounds and gather some energy/let out some frustration! I might as well be productive with my "me" time.
I started at the end of November after a doc's visit. So far I have lost 9 lbs.
I post on the Parenting workout thread too, but wouldn't mind having one here as well. I'm always up for some extra motivation!
I saw your post about running! That's awesome I am going to try the couch to 5K app out today on lunch and see if i can make it through day one HA!
We can do it together. I just started it back up from day 1 today. I used to run more regularly, but I slacked off around the holidays and now I need to build my endourance back up.
Did you get the ap that still lets you listen to music?
I also want to make it to a spin class tomorrow at the Y. I hope I can get DD out the door faster. Today we got there 10 min late and the one class was completely full. There are tons of new people since the new year started. Is it bad I want them to slack off because I hate a crowded gym?

Yes I did. I will see how it goes today. I am SOO not a runner, but I think my initial weight was just water ect. I really need to burn some fat now. We will have to stick to it!!
And no I hate a crowded gym to. I feel the same way.
I love C25K. It does work, even if I am not yet a runner. I always get halfway through then fall off. I am using SparkPeople again. It keeps me honest. I was awesome about doing the 30 Day Shred then stopped in December. I just started again. I was doing Level 2. Level one is kicking my butt again! Thank for the check in!

@JackoftheBox I'm not a runner either, but that program really eases you into it. I ran a 5k with an obstacle course last Summer and it was awesome. Just stick to it! You'll build up endurance slowly.
Also, keep doing weights and squats. Your legs will get sore, so you'll need to build up muscle. You can also do a good stretch with a yoga strap laying down. Raise each leg up and hold the strap to it and slowly lower it to the side. I can't describe it well.

Twice a day? Really? Do you do it before and after work? Lunch? I try to go at lunch a few times a week but I need to try harder.

I go on my lunch break and then after work. I go around DS's schedule. I don't have to pick him up until 5:30 and i get off of work at 4:30. After we get home getting back out to the gym is impossible.

As I have stated in previous posts, my husband is a personal trainer. I on the other hand HATE exercising but I do it because I know how important it is!
Anyway to motivate myself, I signed up for a Warrior Dash in August so now I have motivation to train. Several of my husbands clients and their husbands will participate in the dash with us. He will even run boot camps for us to prepare.
I feel if I have a goal set (such as wedding, 5K, marathan, vacation) I will be more apt to follow through!!

I usually run in the morning (2x a week) and do some yoga. I also do few sit ups and push ups here and there but nothing major.
My work has a training room available but 30 minutes is not enough to work out and take a shower and come back. I've just cut back on the junk food.
Wow that sounds awesome. If nothing else you could walk for 30 minutes!! I think it's great that you run 2X a week and do yoga that sounds like a good workout to me.
I do Zumba two times a week and I'm trying to get back into yoga 2x week. On the days in between, I probably should take my dog on a brisk walk for about 30 minutes.

Very impressive! I admire your dedication.
