Re: ***Healthy Living Check In***
I was successful in not eating a lot of snacks and processed food. I've also had a pretty good success at not eating french fries. I'd like to eat more veggies and lemon-zested salads, but with the weather I've been more of a fruit and soup girl. My biggest challenge is to get out of the house and exercise. It's warmer now-but pouring the rain today...so frustrating. I have been chasing a toddler around the house-so that counts right?
-What lifestyle changes are you going to try this week?
This week it is to drink more water and no soda. I'm also gradually weaning, so with DS1 I lost weight after I weaned. Clearly my body is backwords. Most people lose weight breastfeeding....but not me. Plus, I'm in the middle of negotiations for 2 higher paying positions....both traveling locally so I won't be able to pump any more.
GTKY: Was your pre-pregnancy weight the same as your pre-loss weight?
No, I actually weighed more when I got pregnant with DS1 than DS2. I gained 20 lbs in the 3 or 4 months after my loss, so it's been hard. I was 10 lbs from my pre-loss weight when I got pregnant with DS2. My goal would be to be within 5-10 lbs or my wedding weight, but we shall see. Right now I'd be happy with the weight I started at with DS2 and work from there.
-How successful were you this week with your plan? Any struggles or challenges?
Well, not very but my plan is still in the works. DH just started a new job yesterday, so I spent all last night cooking so that we could have healthy breakfast and lunches for today. By the time I realized it, it was 9:30 and there was no way I was going to do a workout then. I was asleep by 10, and DH did nudge me and ask if I took a sleeping pill because I was OUT. No, I didn't, I was just that tired.
-What lifestyle changes are you going to try this week?
I'm thinking I might head home at lunch to do a quick workout in my living room. I live 5 mins away from work so it's totally do-able. I just need to not get so wrapped up in work that I forget to head home.
GTKY: Was your pre-pregnancy weight the same as your pre-loss weight?
No. So I mentioned that I did a half marathon 2 years ago. I started on Jan 1 of 2012 running and lost about 10 lbs in the process. Then by beginning of March, I was pregnant. Our loss was in May, and then I spent all summer eating emotionally and gaining about 15 lbs back. Then I was pregnant again and eating more. So while I'm back to pre-pregnancy weight, it's still about 15 lbs more than I want on me right now.
