We have a wing-back chair in DD1's room that has hideous fabric, but we got it for $40 on craigslist figuring we would just slip-cover or re-upholster it. That was like 2 yrs ago... Now that I'm looking for a cover online, all I can find are covers for t-cushion chairs. Ours has a square/box cushion. So now I'm thinking of attempting a DIY cover. Anyone ever DIY a chair slipcover - am I about to bite off more than I can chew, so-to-speak?
I am pretty handy with power tools, but not so much with a sewing machine (not to mention my machine is probably not even capable of handling yards of heavy fabric.) How pricey is it to get the thing re-upholstered professionally? (and where does one go for something like that??)
Re: NBR - Slipcovering a chair for DD1's room
I have never had to deal with this kind of thing, but that's such a cute chair!
