After my ice cream gorge Friday night, I've decided to give in to some healthier cravings. Read up, and heading to the store for avocados, oj, and appricots. We'll see if I can stick to them.
Mine are mostly prompted by commercials or what someone told me they had. The only consistent cravings are cheese sammies with bread and butter pickles and cereal.
Pinterest is killing me. I want everything I see on there. After I worked this morning, I drove myself to McDonald's and got a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese biscuit and it was the greatest thing ever. Nearly life-changing.
I always ALWAYS want smoothies! That's the only craving I trust.
Last night I thought I wanted wheat thins and cheese slices, one bite and I handed them over to H. Went and made myself a peanut butter and honey sandwich, but halfway through making it, the smell made me sick. Handed that over to H and had a bowl of cheerios.
Golden grahams, white cheddar cheez its(or asiago if they are out), and everything else is suggestive but I mostly just think I want things that I don't.
I've been craving apples/applesauce like nobody's business, and I've randomly been wanting tall glasses of milk. I figure those are legit ways of my body telling me what I need. But today someone mentioned pigs in a blanket and I'd do just about anything for one right now. Also, this is like the third thread I've mentioned it on this morning, and with each post I want them even more!
Fruit and Honeycomb cereal. I've given in to both.
Food aversions are what's really giving me a hard time right now. It's not so much that I'm eating a ton of stuff that I'm craving as just trying to find stuff that doesn't make me feel sick.
I finally want food again! I am so excited and completely blame altitude sickness for many of my aversions.
For the last 2 weeks all I wanted was a smoothie. Fresh fruit, creamy, berrylicious. Such thing does not exist in Ecuador. We landed in Atlanta at 6AM, did the customs bit and DH located a smoothie place in our terminal. We go, they don't open till 7. 6 minutes, ok, we'll wait. 7:15 we're still waiting. 7:20 they finally open and low and behold their smoothie machine or however they make them is broken. Crushed.
I start cruising for a back up and consider a milk shake from TGIFridays. Apparently they don't have milkshakes in the airport, but they do have a smoothie. I order. I wait. I get something that more resembles a virgin strawberry daiqiuri than a smoothie. It fills the void, but doesn't stomp the craving.
I'll try again when I get home. The smoothie will be mine.
I never really eat fast food but hubby brought home a huge burger from Dairy Queen yesterday and I asked for the last bite. My goodness what have I been missing?? I'm craving cheeseburgers now and regretting that one little bite already.
My coworker mentioned Chinese good this morning so I've been counting down the minutes until lunch. Now I'm enjoying a huge helping of fried noodles and open ended egg rolls And there's enough to last me a few lunches!

Today I've been craving salty foods. And egg salad. And I totally caved

Yesterday DS helped me bake them and they were everything I'd hoped for. Now I just have to convince myself not to eat another one for breakfast.
