Period while Breastfeeding? Huh?!

I'm 10 weeks postpartum and have had on and off spotting since three weeks (brown to red to pink to nothing again within a day or two and then nothing). This morning though it started out bright red again..

LONG STORY SHORT:
I called my gynos office because it worried me. Well I got off the phone with the lady on the front desk and she told me that it might very well be my period returning..erm ok but I thought it wouldn't return that early since I EBF and she just told me to keep an eye on it until next month and to write it down on a calendar..wow gee thanks lady big help -_-

Any of you Breastfeeding ladies have a period yet?

Not this pregnancy, but with my first, yes. I was around 11-12 weeks pp, and I was pumping around the clock for the first 5 weeks when we transitioned to EBF.

Still, almost a year of not dealing with it is nice, as is being able to use something other than thunderpads to handle it.

According to wiki BF only 2% of women get AF if certain conditions apply. I met the conditions with DD, but got AF anyway. Aren't we special. The wiki conditions are pretty lax; I've seen stricter ones.

At about 5 wks I did and I am wondering if it will be back this month too. I do not like it and am still not wanting to use tampons for fear of putting anything up there yet.

I got it around 5 weeks pp with DS2. I thought maybe it was because he was early (34 weeks) and had to stay in the NICU. I had to pump and supplement at first because I wasn't making enough milk for him. Who knows if that's actually the reason though.
I'm 9 weeks pp with this LO and nothing here yet.

I heard last time when I was breastfeeding DD that if you go more than 4 hours with out breastfeeding you can ovulate which would cause you to have a period. I have no idea if it is true or not.

I'm 7 wks PP and it showed up 3 days ago, and I still BF every two hours. And I got the depo shot which last time I had it stopped my periods altogether, super lame.

I felt robbed after DD2 because I started my period about 2 weeks after pp bleeding ended. I EBFed around the clock. It hasn't come yet this time and lil man goes longer periods at night.

A couple days ago I had major spotting/light period but it only lasted 3 days. I'm hoping it's not a sign that the real deal is coming. DS started sleeping a large chunk at night (usually 4.5-6 hours, then 3 more after eating) so I think it will be just around the corner.
