Downton Abbey, anyone? (possible spoilers)

Anyone watch last nights episode?  I have to admit, I struggled to get through the season premiere (umm, I think it took me like 4 days to watch it) b/c I thought it was kinda slow and OMG I MISS MATTHEW.

But last night?  So good.  I just feel terrible for poor Ana!  How awful was that and that she didn't even want to tell Bates for fear that he would kill him (and he totally WOULD.) I also really liked Gillian (was that his name??) for Mary.  I know she's not "looking" right now, but I did like him by the end of the show.

What did everyone else think?

    Another UK fan of Downton Abbey, I did not like the plot with Ana and Bates. Without giving any spoilers away, this season was just okay for me. It took me a while to get back into it. I agree I miss Matthew as well, but I really like the way Mary' is maturing and taking charge.

    I hated the storyline about Ana! I'm actually still mad about Sybil (more so than Matthew). I think it was the timing of it all. I watched that episode when I was only 10 weeks pregnant and was super upset over it all. I agree that this season is starting off slow. I hope it picks up.

    @mrsjenni I completely agree with you! The season premier was a bit slow. The latest episode: WOW! I feel so sad for Ana and am curious to see how that storyline plays out. I haven't seen seasons 1 & 2, so I'm hoping to watch them while on maternity leave.

    I was so upset for Ana (totally can see Bates killing the guy, I understand her thought process). I also like how Mary is evolving, she drove me nuts for a long time in earlier seasons. I'm liking Edith's plot line so far, yay for actual happiness and love being a possibility.
