Bedtime routine

Currently we do all our bedtime routine in our master bedroom instead of DS's room. DS likes to cuddle while we read but there is no place to do that in DS's room. I read somewhere that the last pleasant activity should be done in the room where they sleep so they feel relaxed in that room. Before, I used to nurse him to sleep next to his crib but now that we've sleep trained, after I take him to his room, there is no "activity" to do there. He doesn't want to be rocked but once he's in the crib, I can't stay in the room or else he will cry for me to hold him. Where do you read books, if you incorporate them into bedtime routine? Where is your bedtime routine done?

We do ours in the living room. After his bath, he gets a little milk in a cup. Then he picks up a few books and climbs on the couch and we read to him. He usually likes to cuddle a little bit and then we either ask him if he's ready for night-night or sometimes he even grabs our hand and brings us to his room telling us he's ready. It seems to work just fine for us. I wish we had somewhere in his room to do all of this!!

We do it in the master bedroom - also don't have space in LO's room for reading or anything. I can see the benefit of doing it in LO's room, but we can't. Until she's in a big bed, I guess.

We have a glider in his room and that's where I nurse him and where DH reads his books to him.

we do dinner, play, music time with daddy, bath,lotion, pjs,and brush teeth then snuggles and bed. Wesley will let us know when he's tired by bringing his blanket and wanting to snuggle. We go back and forth between his bedroom. On bath night its his room on non bath bights its the living room. We have a rocker in his room .

We have a glidder in the boys room. We do bath, teeth, jammies, nurse, story, prayers, bed. I read to DS1 in the living room since he goes to bed later on days he naps. I read to the both on DS1's bed is he doesn't nap and put them to bed at the same time.

We do bath then milk, jammies, and books in her room, then I sing Twinkle Twinkle before I put her down. We have a rocker in there and one of our dining room chairs always stays in her room. I usually hold her in the rocker for milk and story while H sits in the chair to read.
