Re: PAL Checkin
What are some PAL challenges you have faced recently? Getting from labor/delivery to home was really hard. The first few days of being DD's mama have been harder than I thought, because I keep thinking about how I should have done all of this with Devon. But without Devon, we wouldn't have Mia...it's just a mixed bag right now. I know some of these feelings are being heightened by my crazy hormones, too.
Open Topic. What is on your mind this week? I seriously cannot believe I'm here. I miss being pregnant already, but to have our rainbow in my arms is the most incredible thing ever. Her first 24 hours were a little rough, but she pulled through with flying colors and is now swaddled and sleeping the day away. My heart seriously aches for Devon, but I'm so happy to have Mia.
What are some PAL challenges you have faced recently? Anna's birthday was hard, both because it shouldn't have been her birthday yet and because we will never get to celebrate with Patricia what we do with Anna. Though I feel I should be more thankful for Anna since we lost Patricia, our difficult journey with her makes it hard.
Open Topic. What is on your mind this week? We booked our tickets to go to Europe for two weeks in May to visit the ILs. It seems far away but I have a lot of prep work to do. I need to get Anna's U.S. passport application in and am working out who of her specialists we need to see before we go. I need to request a CD of her MRIs to take with us and map out hospitals capable of neurosurgery in case she has a shunt malfunction while we're traveling. This is a good start to my list... :-)
