Quick question...

My 35 weeker will be 7 months/6 adjusted next week. When she had her 6 month check up with our family doctor on Jan. 31 she weighed 12 pounds. My doctor never says her percentiles, just shows me the chart. So I guess I'm wondering what your preemie may have weighed at that age? She hasn't lost weight, I'm just curious. I'm always freaking out since I EBF and have no way of telling how much she gets. I'm always afraid I don't produce enough. We also just started baby led weaning about 3 weeks ago. TIA!

    Ds was about 14.5 lbs at 6 months. He was ebf but I had a massive oversupply so he porked up at first. He was a 31 weeker. He only weighs about 23 now at 19 months so it slowed down a lot as time went on.

    My 26 weeker was about 12 lbs to from what I remember. I do remember them saying that babies should be gaining 1.5-2lbs per month like PP said.

    I should have added that my doctor told me the rate of growth and it being consistent was more important than the actual weight.

    My DD was 12lbs something...15oz maybe? at 6 months actual. She was 13lbs 9oz about a month later, so her weight gain is slower now than it was in the beginning. She weighed 3lbs 11oz at birth and 4lbs10oz a month later when she came home. As PPs have said, as I understand it, it's more important that the baby maintain her own curve. I think BF babies also plateau at a certain point. My DD is BF and I supplement with Enfacare, so I'm not sure if she counts as BF or FF.
