So I'm part of a (very liberal) group of local moms on Facebook. The admins are really intense about manners and not snarking, so I have to vent here. Tonight there was a post about how this woman was losing sleep worrying about her two year old son's future... she's really afraid he's going to grow up and marry someone who won't like her (which is reasonable), or who would dare vaccinate, spank, or circumcise her future grandchildren. She said she would give anything to be able to raise her own grandchildren because she's afraid her future DIL will mess it up. Then lots of people were commenting saying they totally understand, and one person actually said, "I pray all the time that my son marries an orphan so that I don't have to compete for best grandma."

Her douchey friend (she's a douche for other things she's said to me) commented on how all of the guys are starting to settle down. There's a close group of guys my husband is friends with that were all getting engaged, married, or (we were the first to have kids out if the group) start families.
She told my mil that "none of these girls are good enough for our boys" which my mil quickly snapped back "my son found the love of his life and she's absolutely amazing. She treats him well and is carrying his child. Speak for yourself "
High five mil, high five.

Ooo. Alright, that sounds more legit. I wonder if I have a local one like that.
