Haven't had my LO yet, but I based my list off the one in FAQ's and then asked some friends on FB. Snacks and coins for the vending machine were stated as a must. The list on here is pretty good, though!
Also, I changed into yoga pants and a nursing tank the day after delivery and it was a great feeling. And my slippers were really nice to wear on our laps around l&d.
Going home outfit for you. Going home outfit for LO. Shower stuff. Make up if you want. Something easy to wear for your 'recovery' stay if you don't like hospital gowns. Nipple cream.
Find out if your hospital provides pads and mesh underwear for you. Find out if they provide diapers and wipes for LO. Plan accordingly.

I liked using my own pads after the first day because the ones they provided were bulky and uncomfortable. Also wore my own underwear after the first day, I didn't like the mesh ones.
I can take that. I was always so hungry the first couple of weeks. If we lived closer, I would invite you over...I restocked my wine, beer, and cider and it is waiting until I pop this kid out.

I would probably drink WITH someone, but it seems so wrong to drink alone for the first time. Alone with two children! (MH works nights)

Agree, that stinks DH works evenings. Maybe sometime next month when things settle down we can have a drinking Bump night. Technically, you wont be by yourself then
I just packed my bag a few days ago. i packed a couple of magazines, 2/3 pairs of comfy yoga pants, fuzzy socks (i hear your feet get cold), boobie pads, snacks, couple of tank tops, zip up hoodie(s), and baby's outfit will be brought by my mom after we find out if it's boy or girl. she's going to wash it for me so we can return the one that's not needed
i'm getting so anxious and excited!!!! good luck mommies
Flip flops and snacks. I wish I'd brought magazines or a book for recovery - I was not prepared to be a patient, and was bored a lot those two days after delivery without being able to leave the room and having no use for daytime TV. Also, you definitely only need one outfit for LO - maybe two to give you size options, but they get poked and prodded so much, that a diaper + blanket is all they'll be in while in hospital. And, as far as size goes, they're going to be TEENY in whatever you pack!
