Weekend horrible help

Friday night LO was being held by her aunt on a table she decided to kick backwards from a sitting position really hard and hit her head on the table. She was ok but my sister was not she was hysterical that she had really hurt her and then refused to hold her for the weekend. I told her accidents happen etc and LO is very mischievous.

Then LO has been being a super pain when eating today was the worst she took a bottle at 8 and 12 but then refused to eat. And then at 8 pm started shrieking and wouldn't stop, and was drooling like crazy so I took a flashlight to her mouth and behold both front teeth have popped through. So I called the pedi at 1030 after I had broken down and fed her cold organic apple sauce from the fridge which she ate. She was supposed to start fruits and veggies in a week so no biggie.
Dr on call said to give her 3 ml of Tylenol which I thought was alot for a 12 pounder. Thoughts?

Have any of your Los stopped eating when a tooth was coming in?

Hugs! Sounds like a busy/rough weekend. I'm not sure on the Tylenol. We've been giving J baby ibuprofen. My pedi doesn't have a good website, but here is the dosing info off the pedi most of the peeps I know frequent. https://camelbackpediatrics.com/medications.htm

J is miserable with teething right now. She eats best in the morning. A huge favorite when she is teething is cold cucumber slices, rind on, cut in half (the rind gives her something to hold because cucumber is pretty slippery). She will gnaw or suck on the inside until it is warm or gone and throw the rind on the floor. She is also really enjoying sucking on cold orange (peeled and segmented).

Good luck. I've been up every hour for the last week with J and her teething crabbiness.

I hate teeth!!! DS will still refuse to eat when he's teething and always has. Hope your LO feels better soon!

M always stopped eating solids when his teeth (the first 8) were coming through. He nurses though. It usually lasts a few days and then he goes back to his normal.

As for Tylenol, assuming it is the 160mg/5ml dosage, how much you give depends on the weight. The chart my pedi gives me is as follows:

6-11 lbs : give 1.25ml

12-17 lbs: give 2.5ml

18-23 lbs: give 3.75ml
