Natural Birth

Intro

Hi there! I am due in September with my second. My first birth was a planned epidural and I was also induced at 42 weeks. I had a wonderful birth experience, but am looking to go med free this time. I will be lurking around here for information!

We have decided on the Bradley method.  Anyone have experience with Bradley?  Also, any good natural birth blogs you recommend?  Any insight you have would be great!

  • Welcome! We did Bradley and loved it. I liked the idea of my H being the main supporter in my birth. The classes were long (12 weeks) but we enjoyed them. They really educated my h on child birth and how to be a good coach. They were also a nice way for us to spend a bit of time together and focus on our birth each week. We had a wonderful birth and plan to re-take the Bradley classes with our next one.
  • Hi. Just wanted to say welcome, best wishes and that your little girl is gorgeous!

  • We did Bradley, and it really worked for us. My husband called our instructor for advice while I was in labor, and that helped calm him down, which of course helped me. I found the relaxation, exercises, and discussion of possible interventions along with more natural alternatives incredibly helpful.

    Best of luck!
