I love when people touch my belly!
I think it's because my mom is NOT a touchy feely person, so there's no nurturing love when I talk to her about being pregnant or when I see her, which is rare (she lives in WI, I live in MD). For this reason, I have no problem accepting hugs and affection.
Today my nail tech rubbed my belly. Loved it. My kids at school constantly touch my belly, I think hoping to feel the baby move. The other day my friend's Chilean mom basically gave me a full frontal body exam. Kinda weird, but it was so maternal that I found myself completely accepting of it. So far everything has been from people who I know by name, so I say "Bring it on!"
Yes, I realize that this essentially makes me a dog looking for a belly rub. Woof Woof.
Re: I'm not going to lie...
I don't like it when my own mother touches it. She does it in a very loving and ooey gooey way and I just can't stand it.
I love it when my husband does it. We probably all do, I hope. I'm self conscious about my belly sometimes, but when he puts his hand on my belly it feels like he is so proud of what we created and proud of me for cooking it.
