Here is my brag of the day. DH and I went to a glass ornament workshop on Saturday and we just picked them up. We helped make these (in keeping with gender roles, DH made the blue and I made the purple/pink):

We made these at the CMOG in Corning NY. People drive/fly from all over to see the glass museum. They get a ton of Chinese tourists in the summer.

My sister and her DH made blown glass flowers at the Corning Museum of Glass a few years back.  When DD gets a little older we'll head down there with her.  I think it's a pretty darn cool place.
We live not too far and it is cool. DH grew up here, so he doesn't get as excited about the touristy places. I love it! I have taken DD to a lot of museums, cafes, and parks. And when we get babysitting DH and I go wine and beer tasting. We're moving again this summer, so I want to pack in as many activities as possible now. I will miss this area....not the cold, though.

I agree. I wouldn't want to live in areas prone to hurricanes. We're moving a couple of hours South to a college town. At the same time, it would be fun to live somewhere near the beach where it's warm all year. I have to wonder if it would get boring after a while...probably not. I can't wait for the cold to be done. I live for the Summer.
