Baby has issues with one thing or multiple things, but it might be a sensitivity and not a full blown allergy.

Re: Clicky Poll - Baby Allergies

  • So far so good!  I've been a little nervous because I have TONS of allergies.  I was allergic to corn and milk as a child and numerous environmental/animals/seasonal allergies.  I did get allergy shots for years, so things are much better now!  DH also has an allergy to the cold, so hopefully she lucks out and doesn't get either of our genes in that regard.

  • No known allergies yet
  • No known allergies. But, I am very wearily that she might have one. My nephew is anaphylatic to nuts, eggs and dairy, and I am scared that it might be genetic. So far she's tried dairy and eggs, and so far so good.

  • None so far. Allergies don't run in the family and ds1 is allergy free. I caught ds1 trying to feed ds2 a late July brand peanut butter cracker so I think he's ok regarding peanuts- lol.

  • My poor son has the same horrible sensitive skin that I do.
  • He is allergic to Milk and Soy(more of an intolerance) but he is on an hypro- allergenic formula. he can't handle peach and I think he might be allergic to rice cereal.

  • A had a horrible diaper rash after ONE huggies diaper, so we don't use those anymore.

Food wise... she gets all tummy yucky if I have shellfish or fried food, so we're going to be talking to her pedi about that.

There was also a weird facial rash after oats and a grandma hug one night. We're currently thinking it was grandma's perfume, because per our Pedi recommendation we tried oats again (no further problems). She only tried her second food (brown rice) for the first time last night, so we'll see how it goes. Hubs, his sister and father are allergic to mushrooms (severe) so we're just avoiding those completely.

  • we had some berry bumps on the butt this weekend.  We are going to watch it.  It was gone by the morning though.

  • She had very runny poops yesterday and today but I'm not sure if it's from a new good (maybe mangos) or a stomach bug. She also might have had a small rash around her mouth from eating strawberries, but from what I read if it doesn't show up anywhere else it's not a big concern.

  • Dairy and soy protein allergy/intolerance and she also reacted badly to rice cereal here recently (threw up and rash all over chest and back).  We avoid all three and will try to reintroduce them when she is older in hopes that she outgrows them.  She also has very sensitive skin so anytime someone who wears a lot of perfume or scented lotion holds her she gets a rash.

  • She has intolerances of dairy/soy/eggs/sesame but she may grow out of it and we're not calling them allergies yet.

  • The pedi said that they don't worry about allergies under two unless a parent has them bad. I have severe environmental and cat allergies. Pretty sure Lily was having problems. No problems with food, which is good because I had food allergies as well.

  • He is currently intolerant if I eat milk, soy, tree nuts, peanuts, gluten, and citrus. I also use a natural shampoo/body wash on him once a week or less. His skin is extremely sensitive.

Laundry soaps must have no dyes or perfumes as now 3 of us react to those things. Thank goodness for cloth diapers as I can't imagine how nasty his skin would be with disposable chemicals on him now.
