Hey, SILLY question here...I'm a plus size gal (about a size 20-22). I was curious if my belly button would end up popping out, or if my lovely layer of blubber will prevent it from doing so. Not that I care either way, I was just sitting here musing about it, so I thought I'd ask you bumpies your experiences. Do belly buttons ALWAYS pop out? Or not? Thanks for indulging my weird curiosity!
Oddly, my belly button popped out in my first pregnancy but not in my second. Go figure! So while I can't make any predictions about your situation with more than 50% chance of getting it right, I can tell you that not every belly button pops. Good luck!
Mine did with my first and it's on it's way out already at 16 weeks. No clue why.

March 6th our little man was born.
6/17/13 - Ovidrel, Follistim, Prometrium ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP! March 17th our St. Pattys day baby arrived
10/29/17 - Started process for IVF, got pregnant & miscarried a 2nd time since summer. 2/22 started stims - Menopur, Gonal F, Cetrotide - retrieval 3/6 - , PIO, estrace 3xday - FET 4/18 = Beta 1: 616; Beta 2: 1342 = BFP
Mine did not in my first two pregnancies, doubt it will this time. I am overweight but not quite plus size, but I don't think it was my extra fluff that kept it from popping, I just have a freakishly deep belly button.

I'm at 36 weeks, and I've been positively convinced mine is going to pop out any day now since I hit about 26 weeks. Instead, my belly button has remained pretty much "2-dimensional," haha. I have an average weight/build, but I don't think that matters so much; everyone's body just kind of does its own unique thing.
Mine didn't at all with my first, got really flat with my second and got flat this time as soon as I got a BFP just about I'm pretty flat in the tummy - I don't think it has so much to do with size/shape as just luck of the draw. Might also have to do with ab strength though as mine were very toned the first time and not as the second.
I don't think size pre-preg matters so much. I was a healthy weight with my dd and my belly button never popped out, just got really flat and odd looking.

Mine didn't. I'm plus size too (20/22) but it had nothing to do with my weight. I have a T-shaped belly button that wouldn't pop out even if I had zero body fat. It just goes flat.

I am about a size 10-12 pre-prego and also have a deep innie and mine never popped out with my first son. My best friend however had hers pop out completely. Everyone is a bit different I think
Nope. I think it depends on how much of an "innie" you have, and probably other factors. Mine didn't when I was pg with my older boys but its just barely poking out with with DS3. Not sure why, maybe baby is positioned differently.
Mine went flat but ever popped out with DS, belly popped out more with this baby already so I guess I will have to wait & see what it does this time around.
