How many "meals" does your LO get per day?

My LO isn't really into food and only takes a few bites. We offer baby food once per day and then sometimes use a mesh feeder once too. I'm thinking I probably need to start offering food a second time now that we are nearing 7 months.

  • He gets anywhere from 1-2 meals a day. I know I'm behind but he has a really sensitive stomach so we are taking it slow.

  • She has solids once, maybe twice at daycare, and then I try to feed her solids at dinnertime. Sometimes she's interested, sometimes she's not. There are some days when I don't even try.

Mine likes to eat something grainy in the morning, like oatmeal cereal or brown rice cereal.  Then she eats yogurt as a snack early afternoon on most days, then a "lunch". Lunch depends on where she is. If she's at daycare, she eats a homemade pouch. If she's with me, she eats what I eat. In the afternoon she'll have another snack.  Sometimes fruit puffs, veggies puffs, cheese, something in her mesh feeder, slices of fruit, etc.  Then at dinner, she eats whatever we eat. This is in addition to her nursing and bottles.

  • We for sure do once in the evenings, and since we've finally introduced enough foods, we're starting to send some things along to daycare.  So I voted once, but we're moving up to twice soon.

If I get up early enough in the morning I suppose we could swing three times, but I'm not in a hurry to do that.

  • 2 meals-breakfast and dinner and then a snack in the afternoon. Eventually I'll add a lunch meal in.

  • My guy loves to eat! He'll be 7 months on Thursday. Three meals a day, each one between 3-5 baby bullet containers

  • 2-3 most days 3, but at this age I don't sweat it if we miss a meal.

  • We offer food 3 times a day at mealtimes but he usually refuses to eat at lunch and I don't sweat it. So usually he just eats 2x.

  • Two.  Our pediatrician said we shouldn't start three meals until nine months.  Not looking forward to that! Two is enough work!!!
  • Only once a day. She's only 6 months old, so no rush. I don't think we will start two meals a day till 8ish months and 3 meals at 10-11 months. I remind myself that food before one is only for fun. There's nothing more nutritious than breast milk or formula before one, so don't sweat it people!

    WOW!!! That's awesome.
  • 3 times a day.  and that's in addition to 30-35oz of breastmilk per day. He eats about 2 oz  of solid per meal (some combination of fruit/ veggie/ legume) but he'd eat more if I gave him more even though we always nurse about an hour before solids.

  • Breakfast and lunch and a snack at daycare. They do BLW. And then we have dinner at home. Having a daycare that is open to daycare has been awesome.

  • Other bc it's less than 1 meal a day. My goal is to start offering food every day now that she's 6.5mo!

  • We've been doing one a day, but now that he is enjoying it more, we're going to start doing two a day.
