DH Vent

Without airing too much dirty laundry, suffice to say that DH did a fairly minor idiotic thing last night, but it cost me almost half a night's sleep. This is not a new occurrence, but last night was worse than normal. I have tried explaining the issue to him nicely a few times, but he apparently wasn't listening. Today I calmly waited until DS went down for nap and explained the major problem that I have with his behavior. He said he didn't realize it was affecting my sleep so much and promised that he will curb said behavior. I told him I would trust him, and he's actively cleaning up his mess right now. I'm just still so aggravated! I guess I just needed someplace to say that men can be such disgusting idiots, and right now I would like to string mine up by his toes and pluck every last hair out of his testicles just to show him how pissed I am. (Ugh. I sound like a major B.)

I hope it's a minor issue that can be easily cleaned up. An that he gets it together now that he realized how much it affects you.

And big hugs. Men can definitely be disgusting idiots. And sometimes they smell bad.

Oh wow. I hate stuff like that. DH picking fights or doing stupid things right at bedtime and "stealing" sleep from me was a huge point of contention during the few months we lived together before getting married. I threatened to leave him over it several times because he just didn't seem to get how big of a deal it was to. We eventually worked it out, and he's been much better since.

Just wanted to say, I can relate. Men suck sometimes.

Thanks, girls. I finally felt better about it by evening. I guess I was partly annoyed that he didn't react more...he just kind of said, "Oh, I'll do better." One of these days I will learn that he doesn't do gushing apologies. lol

If it makes you feel better my DH is the same way unless he knows I'm REALLY upset about something. Then he'll try to make up for it but usually just does it again. *sigh* Anyhow, I hope things really do get better!

My DH isn't reactionary either. But he'll write an apology note typically-- which is much appreciated.

Hopefully thing will resolve themselves!! It's no fun being frustrated.

Oh yeah, men are so stupid, and they think they are helping. But they are such a mess plus I hate when they apologize, and not fixing the problem.

LOL! No, that actually happens once in a while. He never puts the seat down. I've told him it's a drowning hazard, but I don't think he'll actually change his bathroom ways until a kid flushes a toy (or heaven forbid, one of DH's remotes). And by kid, I mean me, b/c now that I think of it that sounds like a totally fool-proof way to get him to remember to pick up his gadgets AND put seat and lid back down.
