Creepy or Sweet?

So this post was put on Facebook for the whole world to see. It is a good friend of my BIL and SIL. It's written by a 34 year old single women. I just don't know, can you all read this and tell me if you think it's creepy or sweet? I have changed names. I dunno, I found this to be a bit creepy, she acts like my nieces and nephews are hers. She has them sleep over all the time, she takes them out on so many outings, she does more for their birthday's then the parents do. (now some of you may remember me talking about my useless SIL, well this is her kids I'm referring to)

Four years ago today, my favourite little girl was born...

You came into the world at the same time my world was completely falling apart around me... no more job, failing relationships, family wars, failing health, deciding school or no school...?? I was in a very bad place mentally.

Then you came along. I was madly in love with you the second I held you, at only a few hours old... While still in mommy's tummy, I just KNEW you were a little girl. When everything got bad around me, holding you made everything right. You listened to me cry and search for answers and when you had enough, you'd look up at me... Your tiny body would stretch, and you would yawn as if to say "Relax (Susan)... Breathe. It WILL be ok."

You kept me calm and focused until I got out of the darkness... I am forever indebted to you little one. I have been there right from day one for you and your brother and now little sister as well. Thank you for always being you. Smart. Beautiful inside and out. Funny. Wise beyond your years and quick witted to keep me on my toes. Always calling me on my discrepancies, but still loving me.

Happy 4th birthday, baby girl...!! I love you so much!

I think it's inappropriate. Its fine if she feels that way but I wouldn't post it online and I certainly wouldn't direct it to a 4yo. That post isn't about the child its about the woman who wrote it and indicates to me at least an ongoing need for some support/psychotherapy.

I will never understand why people post these long posts and pour out their feelings on FB, especially to someone who is not even on FB, like a 4 year old. It seems so strange to me! But I'm also not on FB, so I obviously am not a big fan in general. Instead of writing it out, like "you're the best husband ever, life is so perfect, and you do this, this and this... blah, blah, blah" how about you show them or tell them in person.

Anyway..... yes, sounds a little creepy. I wonder what her parents were thinking when they read it.

WEIRD!!!! Enough said. Well actually not enough said..... there is so much wrong with this;

1.) It's NOT her kid!!!!!! It's great if you have this special bond, but when it's not your child, I just don't think it's your place to be so over the top and make it so directed at you.

2.) It's way too much oversharing for facebook.

I could keep going but I think everything else is covered above..... Weird. If someone did this about my LO - I would probably give them a talking to... but that's just me!

Oh I forgot to mention that previously she had taken all three of the kids for a photo shoot, not a bad idea you might think. Except it was a photo shoot WITH her. Like family pictures basically.... And at the same time their real parents have never done that...

I don't know!! It kinda bothers me since it's my nieces and nephews. I don't think she would ACTUALLY take the children but if it every happened, I wouldn't be surprised.

Honestly I think partly the reason the parents are okay is b/c they are lazy and don't do anything for their children. I've heard the mom making comments about how when (Susan) got there they wouldn't have to watch their children anymore b/c she would.I mean (Susan) took the kids out on New Years Eve for pizza b/c she wanted to spend more time with them.

Well, that explains a lot! They're looking at it like free babysitting. Guess they don't realize how strange that is.

But one more question... is that "family" picture hanging above the parents' fireplace?! Because then it would be REALLY strange ...

Yeah, this is all really odd. I'm glad the kids have someone who does these special things with them, but she seems unbalanced.

What?! This situation has Bad Idea Jeans written all over it. Is she the friend of the mom or the dad?

I think her FB post is something that would have been better written in a letter and then kept until the girl's 18th b-day. Sort of a 'You are important in my life' sort of way. But posted on the internet now? Bizarro.

It's kinda creepy but also kinda sad. Girl needs her own fam. Block her feed. You don't need the aggravation. I have so much serenity now that I blocked people who would do something like this. For example, my nephew posted on FB to write in the comments when the first time we met him. I wrote "birth". My nasty, slob of a SIL wrote "conception". She was then Facebook dead to me and since I don't talk to her in real life, I won.

Uh friends with both, more the mom though. Her exboyfriend is a really good friend of theirs. Get this, she didn't tell some people for OVER a year that they had broken up, she was assuming they'd get back together.

This is exactly why I hate FB! Way to much info and crazy for sure. Sounds like she birthed this child!
