The weekend was, Meh. We are in Jackson today because my FIL had a stroke. Probably heading back to Houston at some point today or tomorrow depending on MRI results. Enjoying being with my family and not working fit the next few days.
Mine was pretty good actually. I found a Dutailier glider on CL for $60, so we picked that up on Friday.
I got some new hiking boots, so we did one of my favorite local hiking trails on Saturday. It's the first time I've been hiking since just after I found out I was pregnant, so it was interesting to see how much I've slowed down since then, lol.
Yesterday I did some much needed cleaning and we had H's parents and brothers over for dinner. There's an amazing spaghetti recipe in one of my cookbooks that makes way too much for just H and I, so whenever I make it, we always invite them over.
The ONLY reason why I wasn't too bummed to have the weekend be over is that we have our A/S on Wednesday. I'm excited to have another u/s and see how much the baby has changed since our 13 wk NT scan (and obviously hope to see that everything looks good and healthy)...and also find out what we're having!
I normally work on the weekends but with MS and back pain I ended up coming home early both days. My butt has been glued to the couch and a heating pad, getting schoolwork done and updating our registry. Pretty relaxing for once!
My weekend was good! Got some paint swatches on the nursery walls and finally settled on a color. I'll finish up the painting this coming weekend.
A good friend also donated me all of her maternity clothes (literally 3 HUGE bags full of stuff!) so I spent a few hours organizing all of it. I am so, so grateful I won't have to buy hardly anything myself clothing-wise.
Why thanks for asking! Saturday I went to bowling green with MIL and two SIL's to celebrate our birthdays. We went to a beading party and out to dinner. I made a cool necklace IMO. Sunday I didn't do barely anything except some clothes and grocery shopping. I got some boots I love in black and am considering going back and buying them in brown also.
Mine was pretty good. My husband an I had a nice dinner out on Saturday and Bonefish Grill, and yesterday we took the kids to the museum. Can't complain.
It was tiring. Still in the process of moving while trying to get our old house perfect for a bunch of showings while still being tired out from the flu earlier this week. Fingers crossed something good pans out so we can be done with the old house once and for all. On the upside we did find time to go buy DS a twin bed and nightstand so we can free up the convertible for the baby . It will be so weird once there is a crib in the nursery.... I think the baby will seem much more real at that point since we haven't had an ultrasound yet to see him/her though I'm pretty sure I've felt a little twinge here and there.
Weekend was great! Friday night DH and I got Chipotle and had a nice night in. Saturday morning I went dress shopping with my friend for the bridesmaid dress. Saturday night DH and I went to BRU and did our registry and ate at a Mongolian stir fry place. Sunday, DH and I went to the gym and then I had lunch with a friend and after that I went to Target and bought some bigger tshirts to run in.
I worked out on Saturday (the first time all year since the gym was closed then I got sick for a week). Then my husband and I went to a friend's house for homemade Brazillian pizzas which had hardboiled eggs, ham and olives. It sounds odd but they were really good! We lost track of time playing a card game and didn't get home until 2am. Aside from New Years, I haven't stayed up that late in a very long time!
On Sunday I slept in until 11am which is something I never do but was much needed. We went out for lunch (breakfast?), did some shopping and got some Starbucks, then I took care of my dying house plants. After that, I relaxed in the sun room with our cats for the rest of the day. For dinner, we met up with some friends and tried out a new British pub. I am not ready to be back at work today!
It was good, thanks! I meant to reply myself but got dragged into working. I don't know what they think this is!
DH worked late Friday night so I let him relax Saturday morning while I did some things around the house. Then we went to Home Depot (I love going there... I love home improvement projects!) and got paint for the nursery as well as some other things we need in there (new ceiling fan, blinds).
Saturday night my brother and his girlfriend came over to watch the Patriots, which was a fun night.
Then yesterday we spent the day in the house cleaning out the Man Room & guest room. It was kind of surreal, on one hand it is so exciting but on the other, there was so much of our own stuff that we had to put in storage for the foreseeable future... Life is changing so much! It was kind of weird to be making all of this space for another human.
Weird or not, very productive! And now I am here and already counting the days until next weekend
@lest12 DH and I spend entirely way too much time at Lowe's between nursery projects and fixing up other areas of the house. I need to go back soon for a ceiling fan and will probably leave with a ton of other crap!
I know! It's probably several years old because the person I bought it from said they got it from their neighbor, but it's still in great condition, so IDGAF. $60 for a $400 chair even a few years old is still a great price.

We are Home Depot / Lowe's addicts, too! Actually more me than him. I could spend hours there (and did, yesterday!) I went in for paint samples and ended up picking out a new light fixture for my dining room as well.
Cleaned the house and de-Christmastized on Saturday. Which feels so good because we were procrastinating. Sunday DH and I saw saving Mr. Banks (highly recommended btw especially if you love Disney or Mary Poppins) and had dinner together which was nice because we rarely get to spend relaxing weekends together between him working and the new house getting done.

I love walking around and getting ideas for new projects. I hate to say how much less I spend on myself since we've bought a house.
Decent weekend. I had a work holiday party where I was, of course, sober. I still had a good time overall. I cleaned my entire house yesterday and took down Christmas decorations. I just love the feeling of a clean house.
Weekend was awesome, DS #2 had a wrestling tournament on Saturday. He did amazing and remains undefeated!! I love going to watch him wrestle. Its a really really long day - Saturday was about 11 hours and he totaled probably 11 minutes on the mat! But I really enjoy going and hanging out with all the kids between matches.
Then, to make an awesome weekend even more awesome - my sister and her kids moved out of my house yesterday!! She and her 4, 3, and 2 year old have been living with us for a year and she finally got her own place. While we've enjoyed having them there, its been way past time for them to move on. I'm very much looking forward to the quiet at home and the ability to focus on my teenagers for the next few months while we prepare for LO to join the ranks.

I went on a retreat with my youth group kids (ages 13-17) and the college and careers group (18+) from my church. I organized the retreat, so I was kind of looking forward to getting through it and just being done. Every year, I dread it, but every year I end up enjoying myself quite a bit. Got to do some cross country skiing which felt amazing. I'm usually quite active, but first tri and the cold took a lot out of me, so I was really grateful for a chance to get moving again.
Of course, since the weekend was so busy, getting up this morning was super hard. I'm exhausted today.

My weekend was very busy with a couple of family birthday parties, and dance lesson for my daughter. So that meant getting nothing done around the house. So pretty much every night this week I will be trying to clean the house. On a side not today was good day we got the new car YEA!!!!
