Anyone else?  I EBF

Re: Ummm... no one invited you....

  • Ugh, I ebf as well and got mine at 3 months pp. With my first two kids I didn't get it until 8 or 9 months, so I feel jipped!

  • Unfortunately mine showed up this week too. I also EBF and my supply tanked so much that I had to start supplementing temporarily. Hopefully it goes back up soon...

  • Once at 6 weeks PP (when I was on the mini pill). Nothing since but major cramping off and on. Not looking forward to it!! Hope you feel better! If it's any consolation, I have a stomach disease which is acting up so I'm not feeling so great with that.

Oh that's terrible. :(  I hope you feel better

On a similar note, I suffered with horribly painful ovarian cysts before I got pregnant.  I'm terrified that now that I'm ovulating again they're going to return.  A few of them burst and were hemorrhagic cysts that landed me in the ER.  I'd rather give birth than deal with that pain again.
  • Yup, I had my annual on Friday and the Dr was surprised I hadn't started. (EFF since mid November.)
I picked up a prescription for some hormones and before I could take them wham she's back.

  • Nothing here yet. I'm still nursing, but FF mostly. I always had awful periods before BC. I get cramps and it's all heavy and makes me anemic. I will go back on the pill when I stop nursing. Even though we mostly FF, I still really like to be able to nurse as well.

  • I EBF and she's 3.5 months. You all are making me nervous. I'm not ready for that yet. Maybe another reason for delaying solids until at least 5 months of not all the way until 6!

I don't think you'd be "delaying" solids starting at 5 months.  Isn't that still early? aren't we supposed to wait until 6 at least?
  • Around here it's 4-6.... I'd been planning on 4.5/5 at least. I've got family that started solid with their kids (20+ years ago) at 2.5-3 months. They're already saying, "it won't be long and she'll get to eat cereal." I've been doing hints that it isn't happening so soon and we may be doing things differently than they did.... This will be just 1 MORE reason to wait a little longer.

yeah I have family members saying this too.  I just say, "the recommendations have changed--yet again!  Our pedi says to wait until 6 months" and they usually leave it at that. :)

We haven't really talked to our pedi about it yet but we will at her 4 month check up. Then I'll tell them what we've decided with him.

Oohhh I had a hemorrhagic cyst that burst and landed me in the ER as well. FmL the pain is excruciating. . I almost blacked out from the pain! I had to have mine surgically removed because it kept growing at which point they found I have endometriosis.
On a positive note so far I've noticed a difference in my cramps since having LO, they are much better. Doctor said pregnancy might cure the endometriosis :)

Oooo, you guys give me nightmares of my senior yr of college!! 2 cyst surgeries later!! We are in this together. Here's to good health!!!!!

This helped me fend off my start cereal now family...

  • I'm EBF, and no AF yet... But I kinda feel like I'm 13 all over again. I have visions of being out somewhere with a sweatshirt tied around my waist!
  • Mine was supposed to show up a week ago. I've been cramping for a month. I've taken 8 tests and they're all showing BFN. Womp.

  • I think AF returned around 6.5 weeks, but now I am wondering if it was postpartum bleeding since it was light and I haven't seen anything since. I was still on maternity leave at that time and EBF and I know LO didn't miss a meal. While I am enjoying no AF it is a bit nerve racking to know that she could appear without warning. Maybe I should stuff a few feminine products in my purse in case she does show her ugly face. The last time I had a cycle was Oct 2012.

  • I had some spotting after I got my IUD put in at 10 weeks postpartum, but I haven't had anything since. With DS1 I went 13 months with nothing and it was glorious so I'm hoping it stays away a while this time, too. I doubt I'll get that lucky again, though.

  • Mine has been back and I'm actually on that shit now. Can't wait till it regulates itself cause I've been getting it twice a month. I used to be a 2-3 day max person now it's like hi can I hang out for 8 days and then make a special 5 day appearance in a week?

  • <whispers> Mine is still MIA. Don't let her hear that though! #:-S

I got mine back at 10.5 weeks with DS1. We're at 15 now.

  • I got my first PP AF when LO was a little more than 8 weeks and thankfully it wasnt bad, just a nuisance. That was at the beginning of December. I EBF also. I haven't seen AF since. I'm on the mini pill and am on the last week of the pack but...no AF yet. I'm starting to get concerned but I don't feel pregnant plus between EBF and the mini pill I doubt my period will be regular any time soon.

  • I got mine this weekend and I EBF too! I heard it's pretty common around 20 weeks postpartum and my LO turned 4 months on the 7th...luckily mine has been lighter than my usual periods!
  • This was all I could think about in the tub:
