So I have the flu

After a long week where I failed my one hour test and had to do the three hour I now have the flu. It has been a long week and I feel like I am gonna die, but they put me on tamiflu and I am watching my fever. My sweet husband has been taking great care of me so I am hoping for a fast recovery and safety for lo. Has anyone else had the flu while pregnant? I would love pregnancy safe ideas for feeling better faster!

    I haven't had it, but feel better soon! The flu is awful on its own, add being pregnant and it's 10x worse. Thinking of you!

    Uuuggghhh...you poor thing :(

    I had this miserable 24-hour stomach bug over the weekend...it was awful.
    I can't imagine having the flu.

    Try to stay hydrated! Popsicles and jello were lifesavers! I'm attempting an English muffin now with peanut butter, which feels do good to eat! (I lost 6lbs from throwing up so much...a little scary...)

    Also...my sister brought me pedialite...it's a drink for babies/kids, but replenishes you with nutrients you lose and electrolytes! It helped me big time!!

    Yes most importantly stay hydrated!! And if you can't control your fever, or feel you are getting worse go to the hospita! I work in ICU and the flu is nasty this year!!

    I got the flu shot earlier on in the pregnancy. Right before Christmas I had a horrible cold and went to the doc to take my 1 hour GTT. My doc said "maybe we better test you for the flu just in case". Yup, positive with influenza A.

    I know your pain, I was sooo miserable! It was my first time ever having the flu and I don't want it again. Hopefully it passes quickly for you!
