Re: Joovy Roo vs. Double Snap n' Go?

  • I registered for the Joovy. When I went to Buy Buy Baby the woman told me it's not as long as the snap n go, I liked the way the seats faced & with the Joovy the seats seemed to fit into the frame easier.
  • Loading the player...
  • I am leaning towards the roo
  • I just saw that roo at daycare drop off, the only thing is that it's a bit wide, she can't it in the class door, check that it does doors, the snap and go went thru any door, I used that one.
  • The issue with the new snap n go is that it doesn't hold the chicco seats :(
  • I have the joovy twin roo and can't say enough good things about it. It's easy to maneuver and I haven't had any issues w it fitting through doors at all. I like that it clicks in rather than straps (for no specific reason, really).

It is hard to access the basket for bigger items, but I imagine that'd be an issue for all stroller frames.

Is it the DSNG with one level that the Chiccos won't fit on? Or the stadium style one?

Ok, thanks. :( I like it better than the stadium one and was hoping to use it with Chiccos. I still have a long way to go so I'm sure I'll figure something out. lol

My understanding, and I may be wrong, is that the stadium style is the new version and that all seats strap in. There is no click in option. The level one is the old version and chicco seats do not fit well into that one.

I have Chicco seats and use the joovy

  • We have the Joovy Roo and love it. Really easy to maneuver. The DSNG actually don't snap in, they need to be strapped in.

  • We have a Chicco car seat from our singleton. We were thinking of getting a Graco for our second seat. I'm interested to know which one works best with both brands. If they each fit a different stroller, maybe we'll just get another Chicco. I don't know.
  • Man, I wish I would have seen that deal. $80 for the twin roo is a steal!
  • We used the one level one with Chico seats. They don't click in but they get wedged in tight just fine. You just have to learn how to do it - there is a YouTube video that shows.
That said, I think the roo looks cool! That one wasn't around when we had our snap n go.
  • We have the snap and go-and it works, but I don't love it. Its fairly difficult to maneuver-but it served its purpose!

  • The DSNG stadium (which is the newest version) should fit every infant carrier.  there is no snapping in, just straps.  I'm not familiar with the Roo, as i don't think it was an option last year?  Or I didn't see it anyway.  But I love my DSNG.  It's so easy for me to use.  Any double will be tough to manuever, but I think it works really well.  WOuldn't go off-roading with it, but shopping and flat paved spaces work great.

TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!

  • Ah, never looked at the stadium seating one :)
  • I have the one level DSNG, and it is horrible to drive. That said, I love it because it's lightweight and simple. Got it for cheap on Craigslist.
