How much does LO cry?

How much does your LO cry? DD seems to be upset anytime she's awake and not on the boob or walking around. DS was a very easy baby and rarely cried other than when he was hungry so I'm just not sure what's "normal".

  • V also cries pretty much any time she is awake. I mean we can get maybe like 10-15 mins of hanging out, but otherwise, she's crying.

  • LO has been pretty easy going up until this bout with RSV; in the last day or so she has been pretty fussy and crying to be held, etc. Otherwise, she would only cry when you changed her diaper or undressed her (clearly she hates to be cold).

  • Holland cries if she's hungry, being changed, or gassy, other than that she's chill, she may fuss though to be held & usually holding her or wearing her in the moby fixes that, I'd say she fusses a total of 45 mins- 1 hour per day
  • My daughter was the most unhappy, colicky child. If she wasn't crying when she was awake, I would have something was wrong with her. My son, on the other hand, only cries when he has gas or I take too long making his bottle. Oh he also is starting to fuss when he gets bored while awake.

  • My LO is almost 4 weeks and has been super fussy and crying these past few days! A couple hours a day for sure!

  • At our 1mo pedi appt, the doctor told us 2-3 total of crying in a 24hour period is normal. Anything more could be symptom of something else like reflux or colic.

  • If he is not sleeping, on the boob or being held then he is most likely crying. There are a few times a day right after feedings that he is awake, alert and not crying.

DD pretty much only cries when she's hungry. Sometimes she cries when she wants to be picked up/change positions but usually she just growls and grumbles at us. She very noisy.

  • Hmmm...definitely a wide range. I think I'll time her crying the next few day and discuss with pedi at 1 montgy

  • DS only seems to cry if he wakes up super hungry. Otherwise he just makes all the cute/scary noises throughout the day.

This exactly for Julia. She is almost 2 weeks old and we get very limited awake time when she's not crying, usually in the morning or afternoon. In the evening and at night she is most awake but screaming and inconsolable until @ 2am.
