Bleeding -stop and start

I know something similar was recently discussed but I can't find the thread so I apologize in advance.

I'm almost three weeks pp and my bleeding had slowed to almost a complete stop. Today I stood up and felt a small gush, went and checked and it was bright red blood. It wasn't a ton but alarmed me since I wasn't expecting it. No clots so far and no pain of any kind. When should I become concerned? Has anyone had bright red blood three weeks (or more) out from birth?

Mine stopped around 3 weeks and then just before we hit 5 weeks it started up again bright red.

Normal, mine was on and off until almost 5 weeks.

I have the same thing off and on. I called the hospital and spoke to one of the nurses the first time it happened. She said that usually happens when you've done too much. So far she's been right. Every time it happens it's when I've walked around or lifted too much. HTH!

Sadly that's normal. I bled on and off for 7 weeks with my last one. I'm at 4 weeks with this one and still going strong.

Normal. My OB said you can have gushes specifically around 2 weeks pp. I had BIG gushes of bright red for a few hours this past week.

I am over 4 weeks pp and I still have off and on red bleeding, so sick of it!

Yup. I was pretty much at nothing at 3.5 weeks pp and then at 4 weeks I started bleeding pretty heavily again. I went for my 4 wk checkup and my doctor said it could be normal but if it didn't slow down in a few days then to call the office to come back in. It slowed down then started up again and has now slowed down again. I am 6.5 wks out and still spotting. Hoping it stops soon.
