My sweet, beautiful baby girl came into this world Wednesday morning, 1/8 at 4:01 AM weighing 7 lb 6 oz at 20 3/4 inch long 33 hours after my water breaking and going into labor. Her Mommy and Daddy were there for most of those hours and her Daddy caught her while her Mommy encouraged me. She even grasped her Mom's finger the whole time we were skin-to-skin and nursed like a champ. After that, they both got to hold her and love on her while we all napped. The following two days in the hospital were difficult, but amazing to see her Mom and Dad take care of her. It reminded me of why I made this decision when I needed it most. Friday morning I signed TPR and nursed her before we were discharged from the hospital.
My heart aches more than anything I've ever experienced and I miss her desperately, but I know with every part of my being that I made the best decision for her. Despite the pain, I feel so blessed to be her Mom and to have an important role in her life. Her Mom and Dad are adjusting to life with a newborn and sleep deprivation but madly in love. Her favorite spot is snuggled up on her Dad's shoulder.
I will see her again on Tuesday or Wednesday to take her pumped milk supply and probably once a week after when we're able to coordinate as long as I'm pumping. Thoughts and prayers are appreciated for the healing process, for my baby girl as she adjusts to life without me and transitioning from breast milk, and for her Mom and Dad in their transition as well.

After 1 IUI, 3 IVF's with CGH/CCS testing, 10 early miscarriages, and lots of tears and frustration, we are moving on to Domestic Infant Adoption! We are so excited to see what the future holds.
